There is also the choise between the lasers seen in the movie, and those in the clone Cartoons on muunilinst (being affected by gravity).

I think it,s possible , i take the fire from the dark trooper and from the gunship. Then i give the gun more damage

no use the ones in the movie they are more realistic because lasers are light and light travels in straight lines

Lasers in the SW movies don't act anything like RL lasers. Besides, how would the SPHA-T shoot at ground forces if it is not affected by gravity? The main weapon does not seem like it can freely fire downwards.

that is why there are anti personal lasers and it is defended by ATTE's and infantry the main laser is used for heavy barrage and can be from a
0-90 degree angle the anti personal lasers, ATTE's and infantry take care of everything else. That is why you never see A SPHA-T alone you always see if with defense.

Skinning is allways the problem. I usually end up making crappy skins myself. But, the good think is that they form a base for better textures.

my pic is quite accurate. maybe the color is wrong though. i can only see one anti-personnel turret(its already in your model). i guess thats all the turrets for now.

well if there is one on one side and many star wars ships have symmetry so there has to be one on the other side

Actually, I was refering to the main gun's capabilities. If it fires as a beam and only can fire from 0-90 degrees, what will it be used for on the map? It is taller than an AT-TE, so most ground targets would be be out of it's firing angle unless upon an elevated position with a clear line of fire. If it's a fixed forward gun (movie didn't show much of its capabilities), then it's main use would seem to be buildings and slow moving aircraft/spacecraft. In other words, I am curious what the main gun will be shooting at

.
By the way, as far as I know, the SPHA-T is not symmetrical...

I'm keeping a close eye on this one. Looks fantastic, but texturing models is a real pain in the butt. What I suggest you do is look for already-existing textures that could be modified slightly to fit the SPHA-T.
