those platforms without the poles should be rather easy to model, it only really requires a cone and a cirlce shape but the only thing ive ever made in xsi is a boat,

Yeah. It's a cryin shame that I can't afford the not - so - free version of XSI. I have the free one, entitled "XSI Mod Tools", but I'm told that you can't export anything you make in there to Battlefront.

you know what would really make your map stand out from the other kashyyyk map is a pod walker :wink: .I shouldnt get my hopes up though cuz it must be pretty hard to make one from scratch. Anyway keep up th good work

WEl it doenst need to totaly from scratch :P

Cut the Atte in half Change the scahling on the legs and change some cannons Et voila U got a podwalker :D

That's one of the things I'm waiting for. And just to let you know, JawaKiller's map will also have pod walkers. In fact, he will probably have more types of accurate vehicles on his map than mine will. The only difference between his and mine is that my beach is smaller, so the fighting is a lot more condensed - that's why the video was so action - packed lol. Well, there are more differences than that, but that's the biggie.

im glad your beach is going to be a little smaller because it seems that some people try to make there battle "epic" but it turns out boring because all of the units are all spread apart and it makes the map not very fun. yours looks just the right size for a perfect kashyyyk battle. your going to have XL in this arent you?

Yeah, and MAYBE conquest - but if I do include conquest, it will be the same unit count as XL, and there will be absolutely NO bleeding (a.k.a. loosing reinforcements for having less command posts than your enemy). In other words, I'm not at all planning on watering down this map - I will not take down the unit or vehicle count for any modes. If it's going to be authentic, there needs to be a lot more than 64 troops on the battlefield!

Dude, there won't be any starfighters, because there weren't any in the movie. There will be Droid Gunships (heavily modified from the space version, of course), and possibly catamarans/wookie flying crafts. And no, the Venator is just for show. I thought of making it a spawn point, but it would have taken troops away from the battle and taken them ages to get back to it.

Perhaps a couple of Jedi Interceptors since there were two(?) Jedi present during the ep3 Battle of Kashyyyk?

You're right, there were 2 Jedi on Kashyyyk, Luminara Unduli (I think) and Yoda, but Jango mencioned he won't be including starfighters in his map, and the Venator was "just for show"

btw, Jango, the droid gunships you mencioned, how are you going to change them from the space version? in the way they look or in the weapons they have??

I wouldnt be completely overpowered to have a couple of spacefighters spawn from the Venator since they are the only counter for the CIS Transport Ships.

At any rate...will the Venator's hangar bay at least contain a CP for the map?

Who is going to be the hero for the CIS (please don't make it Jango Fett)?

Also, can you give the commando a 2 or 3 hit kill pistol instead of the bolt caster, becasue both of those weapons run out o ammo pretty fast? And can you give him more health; I hate how a commando dies so quickly?

Btw, is there a model of a Wookie rocket launcher like the one in Republic Commando?

Maybe you should give it to the Woookiee and maybe some kind of commando (that doesn't fly obviously).
It's kind of weird how the shipped Wookiee uses a republic rocket launcher. How would they get them?

A suggestion: make it General Grevious. He's not on very many maps, and you see him a bit on Kashyyk during Republic Commando.
