just played it, and got one thing to say: WOW. The modeled buildings are superb. And the Nelvanians are skinned well.
Bugs I found:
None... except for when I jumped on the Tauntan And started moving, I was forced to walk of the edge.
And this isn't a bug, but when I'm a jedi in the large interior of the building, Things get way to easy. I killed like 100 guys in one life, (with a jedi) This is one of the best maps I've played though, and is definately a keeper!

Just finished playing the map, and I gotta say, this is easily one of my favorites. The map itself looks great. Just like the cartoon. The little details really make this map awesome though. Like the tribal masks and spears in the huts. Awesome work on the models. The gameplay is good too. I had a lot of fun on this map. It's really well laid out, and it's perfect for having shootouts in the huts and such.
I only found two things wrong with it:
- GCW 1-Flag CTF has no sound for some reason. I only looked through Conquest on GCW and CW, and both the CTF modes on GCW mode, so I'm not sure if there are other bugs on other modes/eras. But this was the only bug I found out of the modes I played.
- The Nelvaanians don't really attack. On a rare occasion I saw them throw their spear, but other then that they were just cannon fodder. I had a field day gunning down Nelvaanians running around and not fighting back. I'm not sure why that might be, just mentioning it.
Other then that though, I think this map is great. Definitely a keeper. The only things I suggest you add is maybe a hunt mode, like Tean suggested, and put a few loading screens. Other then that this map is looking pretty good for a final release.

Thanks for finding that sound bug, Schizo, I squashed it.
I may add a hunt for the final, but I gotta get the Nelvaanian's throw working first, and also make them playable. The problem isn't setting up hunt, it's setting up the Nelvaanian side properly. (see the readme)
Is there a way to make them attack more? I tried to set aggressiveness higher and that did nothing. They're set as enemies of both teams, and there's plenty of them on the map
Shinoda: The jedi is made up.

Make sure that the Nelvaanian weapons can target everything.
If, for instance, you have it set up so that the weapon only targets vehicles, they wont shoot at any other class.
If you don't know what I'm saying, check the following lines in the weapons main odf:
TargetEnemy/(Neutral,Friendly) determines who they can target - their teamates, their enemies, or neutrals (being a side who is not on anyones team).
TargetPerson/(Animal,Droid,etc) determines what class, respective to the above, it can target. So what I have set up above says that the weapon can target Enemies, and any class of enemy (being Person/Animal/Droid/Vehicle/Building).

Code: Select all
TargetEnemy = "1"
TargetNeutral = "0"
TargetFriendly = "0"

TargetDroid = "1"

I agree with schizo on this one. No blizzard.
In addition to his reason..
1. It reduces performance
2. I dislike not being able to see
as for the Nelvaanians, here's what's in the code:
@PieDude - I used Maya for modeling and XSI for texturing.

so, yeah it's set up exactly like that. I think it might have something to do with trying to use ewok animations or the spear ODF or something. You never see ewoks throwing spears that often either. Maybe they're near-sighted.TargetEnemy = "1"
TargetNeutral = "0"
TargetFriendly = "0"

I like the physical aspects of this map, and hope that in later versions a more intense conquest mode could be worked out.
Also, it just doesn't feel right slaughtering Nelvaanians with Obi-Wan. :atat:
Also, I thing some trickling water inside somewhere would be neat. They have to drink somewhere. And melting snow all the time would be a pain!
What if you someone made a dripping water fx and it could land in some pots, falling from a cave roof? With some nice trickling noises? Atmosphere is one thing that swbf2 often lacks. Nothing too complex, but it would be really cool.
