As most of you may know, RevanSithLord and I have been working on this map for a good while now. If you've played Dark Forces you may recognized this map. Wehter or not you've payed Dark forces, you should try out his map.

Known bugs/Issuses:
This was left over from testing, the name of the map is New Dark Troopers. I will fix this in later versions.
A spawning area may spawn you under a building
The water is very glitchy when looking at it.
Some weapons are not localized ( sorry )
AI tend to ignore barriers and run into walls, so my run into the walls
AI ( as mentioned above ) may stand around and do nothing.

Sorry. Board quit on me while I tried to reply.
The tan commander skin is not mine. I forgot his name on who made it. I'll have to find the name.
Without NullCommando and the community's inspiration, this map wouldn't have made it. In-fact, without NullCommando, I wouldn't have made it at all. Majin is the one whom inspired me to make a city map, but NullCommando is what did a lot of the work to get it to where it is now. His layout beats mine, his sides knock me out senseless, and his skins combined with mine gave the map a more Dark Forces feel.
I thank NullCommando for his awesome dedication to helping me with this awesome project.
I will conjure up the credits list here shortly.

Ok, I just got through playing this map and I have say it is quite AMAZING!
The layout of this map is very nice. I like the way how the second stories are connected using bridges and whatnot. Although some buildings are kind of "sunk" into the ground on the outskirts of this map.
The custom sides are very cool. I haven't play as the alliance yet but I have as the Empire. The Dark Troopers are indeed very powerful but the AI's aren't using them to their advantage. The Blue Phase II Dark Trooper looks kind of out of place compared to the dark grey Phase III Dark Trooper (whose weapons are all unlocalized). I think it will look better if it were greyish instead of blue. I also like the SpecOps Stormtroopers.
The Alliance side looks great from what I've seen. As for the canal, will a power generator go next to it in the future? I noticed the building with the huge Rebel Alliance symbol; it wasn't what I had in mind unless it wasn't that building?
Is a proper sky in the works? The outskirts of this map is very bare and it makes the map look very isolated. I suggest adding a tall brick wall followed by some fog? in order to cover it up just like in Star Wars Dark Forces (at least just the brick wall part). Or even better, hundreds of crashed pods (and a lot of smoke) suggesting that the Dark Troopers crashed their pods and used their jetpacks to jump the tall brick wall. I am assuming that the SpecOps Stormtroopers arrived in the landing crafts, right?
One last thing, what is up with the skeleton babies in the local bar?
Overall, you guys did a very nice job portraying Talay Tak Base during the massacre. Thanks for creating this map!

The skeletal 'babies' were the only skeletal items we could find out in the public. Caleb's were the only ones available.
As for the rest of the stuff, we'll have to chat to see what we'll do in terms of all that. Over all, it's hard to get it all exactly like the game, so we have to get things close, if not exactly the same as the layout and the props.
As for the sides, I dunno. I'm bot the one who made the sides. XD
But as I said, trying to recreate things 100% are very hard, and of course we certainly don't want to over load it. About the sky, I HAVE the official sky texture from Talay, BUT it's WAY too pixelated.

The skeletal babies reminds me of the dead babies perserved in jars in this one spider movie.
It is just weird seeing four skeletal babies sitting at the same table. Makes me wonder how they were killed.

I've seen it used for this map and I COMPLETELY agree with you. Since it is a rainy map, why not just use the Kamino sky minus the thunder and lightning? Whenever it rains water on any planet, the sky is always dark and cloudy, right? I think Kamino would be a good choice.
By the way, did the game work? (SWDF)

I don't understand why you're only using half of the .sky file I made for you. I see the mountains but it looks like you're missing the texture for the actual sky.

I had problems with the sky, it only showed the mountains when I actaully got that part of it to work.

Well. The whole reason behind that was that I sent all of the files you sent me to him and I think it just didn't want to take it. I even sent him all files and it seemed it ended up like that. Unless I had a corrupted file, I don't know, but I assure I sent him all of them. They just didn't want to show, I guess.
