Hex Edit Sniper Gear

I recently figured out how to hex edit MODL chunks from one model to another, but I can't seem to figure out how to hex edit the sniper gear(strap) from the ep3 sniper to the ep3 trooper.
Can someone please help or tell me if there is a addon mesh for it?
