Don't take Marth too seriously. He respects RepSharpShooter for his work on Meshex. Marth just jokes around a lot.

So why dont the Pandemic tools work for newer versions? Would it be too difficult to convert them to work for the new versions?

And does .Meshex not work for vehicles?

Does ANDE's Tools work for vehicles?s

It works for hovers and treads, but not for walkers and flyers, because they use anims and therefore need a skeleton, wich can not be exported with meshex. If your flyer doesn't have a takeoff anim you don't need a skeleton and then it works, too

As far as I know not yet, but he's working on it. There's a good chance ZE can export them in a later version.
I'll just lean back (like always) and wait for it.

Because new things break old things. Ever try installing a new printer (or any hardware) on an old computer, or an old printer on a new computer? Yeah, chances are the two aren't going to communicate very well with each other. When things are updated, old features and functions are often redacted, which may lead to other things breaking.

Maybe, if the vehicle isn't enveloped/animated/weighted/rigged, though I have never tried it myself, so I wouldn't really know.

See this.
