Ok, so I want to make a gun in XSI. But I have a problem! How big does the model have to be? I tryied making a crate before, but when ingame, it was massive! Could some body please post the scale in XSI? Thanks!

Just use RepSharpshooter's
Msh Importer to convert a weapon msh from the assets to obj, then import that obj into your scene for size and placement reference.
You can also convert msh files to obj in ZeroEditor if all you need is size reference, the results are an obj without UVs and all objects merged.

I usually use a trooper for reference instead of a weapon.

Everything has it's purpose, but in his case all he really needs to do is import a weapon and get the scale and location of the grip/trigger area right, then he can make the rest of the weapon however he wants while basing it off the scale of the grip/trigger, if the rest of the weapon looks really weird compared to the grip/trigger then you should know to fix it, and it'll also be guaranteed to fit perfectly in the soldier's hand ingame.
