I would have been ready to bet that the Steps I have provided to you earlier might not be fully functional, and if you do not mind this Request, I would like you to tell me what you would have wished to realize through the hexadecimal editing of "mission.lvl", so that I could proceed to all this changes for you.
Furthermore, modifying the Textures contained inside a few *.LVL files won't be that easy to apply, as those Stuffs must be extracted using specific Tools only available for Microsoft© Windows-based Platforms. However, if you own a Software similar to those conceived by Smith Micro Software© - Like StuffIt®, for sample -, then you should have a look at this local thread, jedikiller'...

Well, I had been wanting to apply the Snowtrooper skin to the stormtrooper, heavy snowtrooper to heavy stormtrooper... Basically making all Imperial units have their snow skins. But, once this is done, if I want to edit their weapons, will I have to do it under the snow class or the normal class? Like editing imp_inf_troopersnow instead of imp_inf_trooper?

Each Star Wars Battlefront Class owns its own Equipment, which means you will be forced to modify the sections affiliated to "imp_inf_storm_troopersnow, "imp_inf_shock_troopersnow" and all other Snow Troopers through your usual Hexadecimal Editor in order to replace their weapons, while knowing proceeding so won't be needed by "Regular" Units, as they won't be able to affect the levels you will have edited earlier...

Why not, jedikiller' ? Indeed, I have to admit that Modifications conceived and intended to Star Wars Battlefront have become really "un-common" since the Official Release of this LucasArts video-game's sequel, and seeing one of them being provided to the whole GameToast Community is still welcome for most of its users...
Furthermore, in the meantime, here is the "mission.lvl" file you need so as to get Snow Troopers on all Star Wars Battlefront shipped Worlds, and which must be placed inside the "LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront\GameData\Data\_LVL_[Platform ID]" Directory...

OK, jedikiller32, I will download your custom Star Wars Battlefront Modification as soon as I will get enough spare time intended to play this LucasArts video-game. However, in the meantime, could you tell me whether all Updates intended to the PC version of Star Wars Battlefront have been made available toward owners of the Apple© Mac OS one, and especially the 1.2 Patch, shipping with the "Tatooine : Jabba's Palace" level ?

As far as I know, and since the first day I browsed GameToast Forums, I have never heard about the designing of Star Wars Battlefront levels based on Hexadecimal Editing, jedikiller32, which can be easily explained by the fact this way of Modding is too much tough to master to provide satisfying Outcomes. In order to sum up what are the different modifications you can bring to an existing map, then I would simply say that replacing or removing Vehicles spawned on it, modify Textures exploited by it, change Factions used by it additionally to Reinforcements Counts are among the only possibilities proposed by a similar Process...

Hmmmm.... Ok then. You mentioned skins. Is it possible to use some of the skins from the thread "Glamour skins" in SWBF2 Modding? I think it could but I could be mistaken. Is it possible, and if so can you tell me how to do it?
P.S. Leviathan, you've really helped me out here and I am so grateful. Thanks a lot. Now I know how to make some simple mods!

Off-topic : It mainly depend on the sort of Textures promoted inside the local thread you have talked about, jedikiller32, and in case they would be shared as *.JPG files, then you would have to request the Targa ones having served as original Skins, unless you would wish to exploit Graphics Files having been partly "Destructed" by the Compression applied to any JPEG-encoded files. Once you will be done with all *.TGA Documents you would wish to call inside Star Wars Battlefront II, then I will probably provide you a Tutorial dealing with the Modification of Textures through Hexadecimal Editing...

Off-topic : Alright, jedikiller32, before allowing you to have a look at the Tutorial I may have talked about earlier, you must first make sure that the Textures you have downloaded so far have been converted into Microsoft® DirectX Graphics files thanks to either an Image Viewing Utility or a Specialized Tool, which might not be available for download toward Apple® Mac OS Platform's Users, and in that case, I assume that submitting the Stuffs you have obtained so far to me would be the only way of proceeding to this encoding...

Yes, jedikiller', you have perfectly understood what I may have precised inside my previous reply, and in case you would eventually wonder why such an additional Re-encoding is that important, then I would simply tell you that any *.TGA file shipping with a Project conceived thanks to Star Wars Battlefront Modification Tools is automatically converted into a *.DDS one once both the Compiling and Merging Processes have been executed by the user, without forgetting that the final Outcome will highly depend on the Quality of the submitted JPEG Graphics File, which explains why you must have obtained Targa Documents instead of those directly featured inside the thread you talked of earlier...

These are the skins I've got. I'm thinking of doing a Clones vs. Empire mod or something like that with these. The ones in SkinsImp are not .tga files, but the ones in SkinsRep are. So you may have to convert those, I don't know.
Anyway, there you are...

Hopefully, both the converted Graphics Files you have submitted to me and the Step-by-Step Tutorial I have talked about in my previous messages will be provided to you tomorrow, but before getting back to my usual Tasks, I would want to know towards which Star Wars Battlefront Sides the Pictures you accepted to share with me will be intended, since the Instructions you will have to follow might differ according to the Factions you would wish to modify, jedikiller32...
