There probably isn't the same level of interest anymore in SWBF1 mods as there once used to be, but nonetheless I'm happy to announce the release of my sides mod, Jedi vs Clones: Temple Assault.

This replaces the eps2 clones with the 501st Legion eps3 clones, and the CIS with completely new Jedi units.





This is only a sides mod, but is intended to be played on imp_strikeforce's SWBF2-ported map Jedi Temple: Knightfall. You can download the beta and see some more screenshots here:

I will try out your Side Mod.The 501st Clone Side looks fine but the Jedi´s above all Yoda are not so good.You should work on these Skins.

Is that supposed to be Mace Windu second from the left? If so, lose the yellow clothes and go to brown.

No, Mace Windu is the hero unit for the Jedi side. This is a Zabrak-based Jedi Knight, with the idea of depicting a young Agen Kolar-type Jedi. Except for Yoda, none of the units are intended to be a specific character (they're general-purpose Jedi units) although I did deliberately create a resemblance (e.g. the Padawan is meant to look like the eps2 Anakin) to help visually link the unit to a well-known reference. The yellow clothes are one of the many color variants seen being worn by Jedi in AotC and RotS (and makes it easier to visually distinguish that unit type from the other classes).

FYI, the skins are modifications from the SWBF2 Obi-Wan and Ki-Adi Jedi skins, and the Mace Windu SWBF1 skin, with new faces and obviously color variants on the uniform. Keep in mind that the texmaps look quite nice but I've noticed in-game that the models don't do them justice. The Padawan actually looks a bit on the old side moreso because the way the head model applies the texmap (which is not to blame the modeller, since the head was intended to represent the eps3 Obi-Wan Kenobi, not a Padawan). I'm pretty happy with how the skins turned out overall, so they won't be changing much beyond a few tweaks here and there.

Obviously this forum is still quite open...

If you don't play SWBF1 then no one is forcing you to come in here. There is no need to discourage people who still mod for SWBF1 as some of us still play the game...
