OMG this is the best map EVER I just noticed that you CAN spawn from the ships, this officaly is the best map i have ever played

My game didn't like it. The second time I played, it gave a fatal error final and crashed. :(

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I couldn't spawn from the capital ships, either, unless there was a gunship that just spawned there. For some reason, I can't select that command post to spawn onto (either cap ship).

Its supposed to be like that, so too many stupid AI dont get stuck up there.

Unlimited reinforcements made this the hardest battle I have ever played, it took me 45 minutes to capture (and hold) all command posts. A friend of mine played for an hour and a half, before he quit the level. I am not sure if I like this or not. At the moment I am putting the time on every time I play so that I dont spend half the day playing it.

PS Gizor (geonosian boss) would work great here. On my game I cant play as Jango or Mace because the list is already full. If I were you I would get rid of Jet Troopers (they arent all that usefull on this level, especially if you can be a jedi) and Manga Gaurds (they dont fit the timeframe).

PPS Just to make it more like the movie, you should replace the tri fighter, with the Geonosian star fighter.

Been updating it today.

Multiplayer is back up and running.

The Cap ships are high up in the air now and rearanged in a cloud cover(makes dogfighting more feasable). Not as noticable while ground fighting.

The AI stopped trying to get up that hill...lol

The ATTE's now spawn at reasonable spacing and charge ahead to take on the HAilfires.

Jango and Mace are back.

Jedi starfighters added.

bridge added to CIS ship.

Droidika count increased to counter Jedi.

I downloaded the 1.5 version and added it to the addon folder in the bf2 directory but when I go to instant action it dosen't appear in the list
What could be the problem?

Two questions:

1. Do you know what version you have of Battlefront? US.UK..German..
2. Have you installed any of the older releases?

Havent posted it yet, Im running it now to make sure there are no more "obvious" glitches. Its pretty different this time...I think for the better(getting some good feedback from posters like yourself).

so Stager, what is the situation with hero units at the moment? Good to hear that Jango and Mace are back, but what about Yoda and Gizor? Are they in it yet?

I like that idea about losing the Jet Troopers and the Maganguards, it's a nice touch.

Stager, you never cease to amaze me. This is my all-time favorite map for BF2! :D I like having a little astrodroid in the republic capital ship. But once it dies, it doesn't respawn :( Could you fix that? The only other I have to say is could you add 1 more capital ship to each side? The sky gets lonely when they lose that command post. Anyway, great map, and keep up the good work :)

Hmm...About the Hero thingy...If you really have to take some of the classes out it should clearly be the Magnaguard (Because they don't fit in) and the Clone Commander. The Jet Troopers should stay, after all. It makes more sence that they are there, than the Clone Commanders :)

Actually the Clone Commanders were there on Geonosis. :)

About those little astromech droids. They are gone now. For some reason they were responsible for the multiplayer crashes. Once I removed them the multi-player started working again.

No hero combination will please everyone...but what Ive done is removed grievous and kiya and replaced them with Jango and Mace. Really no sense in a "earned" hero on this map anyway with so many included heros on the field. This maxes out the linup. The locals are problematic on multi-player as well..thats why they all appear as playable.

You have to understand..this map now pushes the limits of the game engine and the efficient use of hardware..so I have some limits to work around now. Cant add more Cap ships...most computers couldnt handle the VRAM load while trying to deal with all those AI.

Also added droidfighters at the hangars, and jedistarfighters...changed the spawn areas of most of the vehicles...and fixed it so they all head to the center to fight instead of tripping over themsleves. Generally polished the whole setup a bit. Captial ships are in the sky now in a cloud cover away from the ground and repositioned. This release will be much more polished up.

Im uploading v1.6 now: Alot of changes here..Im very pleased with how this one "feels". The Battle feel in fantastic. I enjoy setting multiplayer and just watching from various camera angles.

Changes: Cap ships raised above "cloud" cover.
Fixed Multi-player
Added droidfighters and jedi starfighter
Rearranged spawn points to make more sense.
fixed stupid AI issues...they fight smart now
Added more droidikas
fixed international filename "issue"
Rearranged hero setup
Smoothed out the whole pathing system to be more helpful
lots of other stuff I cant remember...
Put reenforcement cap back on(900)
ARC170 sounds still need added..waiting for mod tools to be fixed.

READ THE README file included. Multi-player is VERY CPU intensive to host. Shut down all unused programs and do a fresh re-launch of battlefront 2 before hosting Multiplayer matches or it will crash to desktop. I think your going to like this one....
