sheesh, this has been sitting here for too long

Without further adieu, I introduce, the KOTOR Blaster Rifle used by most troops of that time

now heres the deal, this model is about 90-95% complete. problem is it needs to be exported(it is in .XSI format) and it needs more importantly, TEXTURES! :D

you think you can make a texture for this, PM me, or look around Gametoast.com, I have announced it in at least 2 topics with a link in each one.

This is made by me just in case any of you wanted to know. I used the ingame one as reference. it really just needs a texture and it needs to be exported before it is ready to be released

(NOTE: that img is the most updated one there is. i took it just before exportation into .XSI format

Kidding :D Looks fairly accurate to the KoTOR rifles to me :P.
KotOR weapons are rather detaill-less though, so I never really liked them that much. This be good with all the new KotOR era maps coming up though!

you realise that blaster is twice way too big

Nice accurate model.

2 squares on the grid = roughly 2 meters

Also make the barrel of the gun parallel to the z-axis- see Syth's weapons on how it should be oriented.

I'd suggest moving the hp_active null to the center of the grip and of course centering it at (0, 0, 0). Otherwise, the units will hold the gun by the bottom of the grip (like the unused shipped T-21).

thnx for comments!

@VF501: what is a hp_active? and i thought i already put it on facing z-axis,
guess ill check again

still, i need someone to texture it

It is facing the z-axis but it is not parallel with the axis. It needs to be parallel otherwise it'll look weird. They'll hold the gun angled up in your case.

hp_active tells the units where to hold the gun by matching it to hp_weapon (which is in the units hand).

Oh yes, seeing it in that size, it looks a LOT like a KotOR blaster rifle :D Good job!

Move your weapon forward!

Any soldier carrying that weapon will likely shoot himself in the back, move the weapon forward on the Z axis until the handle is centered on the grid at 0,0,0.

"Report in, Scout"
"Sir, Johnny got shot in the back!"
"By Who?"
"Himself, Sir!"
