Zaypha V- Scar Squadron

Well one day i asked myself what should i do today. and then i realized i had 2 unused skins lying around. i decided to expand upon these skins and thus the Scar Squadron was born.

Scar = Special Commando Attack Reconnaissance

This Battle is one of many campaigns the Scar Squadrion has gone through. this was a planet that was hidden from the public until the New Rebublic found it in ancient arcives on coruscant. this Planet is far in Wild space but once was home to what we now call Zapnogs. A very rare species that has been known to have connections to the darkside of the force from birth. This battle was planned to stop harvesting of its precious Resources for CIS use. This Campaign claimed more lives than the Battle of Geonosis the Battle of Kamino and the Battle Of Utapua combined times 12.

Looks good, but the skins look somewhat basic on the riflemen. Hey, basic is good.
This Campaign claimed more lives than the Battle of Geonosis the Battle of Kamino and the Battle Of Utapua combined times 12.

Looks nice, I really like the Scar skin. But you may wanna turn down the color on his visor thou, to make it look more realistic.

fiodis to answer ure question the battle lasted 20 days with a death rate of 20mill a day....... does that help?

and yes i did darken it a little bit.... but not much i like the look

Think you might be overdoing it a bit. 20 million. That's the population of Australia. Per day. And the republic army had what, 3 million troops total?

2000 a day would be a bit more reasonable. Episode II said that the clones at that point had one million soldiers, "with a million more on the way." So having 20 million casaulties a day would completely kill every clone (which leaves little for other maps, stories, etc :lol: )

I like this legion though. The skins turned out well, with only the sniper's visor being a bit painty.

It's coming along, but you seriously need to kill that 'vertical wall' on the terrain. If that's the very edge of your terrain then move everything in a little bit so you can do something with the terrain. Trust me, it'll look 10000x better.

ok first off well i ment 20 thousand....... i was up at midnight stupid ice storm kept me awake so i only had a hour of sleep at that point.

secondly to Teancum ?????? dont fully under stand what it is you wanted? care to clarify a little bit more.

and third i will try and make the visor less painty

its just normal CIS units..... but i might reskin them and make a CIS side as well..... all depends if i get some ideas =P

and yes i did make the skins

I like the red camo skin. It's pretty sick. Are you gonna be sending out for beta testing? If you are, I'm in. :wink:

That's still a ludicrous amount of casualties (2M). Big numbers do not a good story or good map make. That's the same attitude behind: "How do I make this map fun? Oh, I know, I'll add giant particle effects and make everything do a million damage."

He means to cut down on the sharp terrain cliffs. It stretches the terrain texture and always looks bad. Use the "blend" tool on them.

and also the story line itself has a lot of units, but the map has only 45 soldiers on each side.i would of done 32 but its to little and your lucky to run into 15 soldiers b4 the map is over.....

It's not a terrain texture issue. It's a Zeroeditor thing - terrain height. You can't just use the "raise" tool haphazardly, you need to use gentle raises (low pressure or the bell tool) or you need to use the blend tool once you've raised height.

Yep. If you really want cliffs, best to use objects like geo_spire_2.

ive got good news....... and ive got the worst news possible

Good news is that i fixed the snipers visor.....it looks much better LOL

bad news is that now the map wont work period. i added the droid skins and then the map crashes and the error log only says errors that are common and wouldnt crash my map.

so as of right now..... this seems to be very bleak......this is basicly all it says

so unless some1 knows what can fix this invisible error i think this map itself is done for...... =( but the skins shall live on as we speak im working on a diffrent map that will contain these troopers =D
