OK this is getting so annoying know.... When i try a game incompatible with vista, it doesnt work, i tried setting it to windows service pack 2, i found out it was already switched on but it its still incompatible like always. Could this maybe be a problem caused by having vista pre-installed on your new computer?

I had Vista pre-installed, I've yet to have a problem that could not be fixed by changing compatibility mode.

The most annoying issue is Silkroad, after 30 MINUTES of trying to log in due to crowded servers, the game freezes in the character selection screen. I know its supposed to crash the first time i log in BUT i cant seem to exit the nonresponsive game, then when when i alt+tab out to pick another program to do, THEY ALL JUST TURN BACK ON THE FROZEN SILKROAD SCREEN. I tried restarting my comp, the screen resolution expanded by at least 3x, i was forced to go on the highest res to get back to normal size.
Kinda Offtopic: I try to install Silkroad on my XP comp, it just said please wait..., then it says temp folder error then it exits...., i think its to big of a file since they combined europe and the original client together, my comp cant handle to big of a file or else bad things happen.

For some things, it just doesn't work.
Virtual PC might be worth a try, but other than that, you might just not be able to use it.

Hmmmm....
Reinstall, if that doesn't work then system restore (non-destructive kind that only restores settings)?
