EDIT:
Anyway, I worked a bit on my model. It's a bit more detailed now, but still very blocky, though:
P.S.: I still have the cookie for the one who finds out what pistol this is.

It's a Heckler & Koch P2000 semi-automatic pistol

Ohohoh, I know that one, played with it in EaW some time ago, don't know a name tho due to lack of localizing in the german version.
It's kind of a carrier frigate, isn't it?
The model looks pretty good, looking forward to see rhe hangar.

Got a tablet recently and started my sculpting endeavors:
Base mesh was created by Samuel "arshlevon" Sharit, and I downloaded it off Polycount.

Nice anatomy for a first sculpt! You didnt seem to make the beginner the-more-subds-the-better mistake either.

I had read many, many times that sub-dividing a lot right off the bat was a BIG no-no. So, I worked in a way that I sub-divided only whenever I felt I NEEDED the extra geo. I actually found it to be quite easy this way, so there is definitely a lot of truth to working the lower subdivision levels first and then building up from there.
MrCrayon wrote:silver surfer?
I guess the material that I chose does make him look a little like the silver surfer haha. But no, I was not going for a particular character in this case. As it is my first sculpt of a human, I wanted to focus on the anatomy and general shape.
Here are some more up-to-date pictures:
The neck on this pass looks TONS better than it did previously. I also went up a sub-division level to actually start on fleshing out the musculature.
