I finally got Mesh Ex to give me a good .msh, but it stretches the model
Here's a pic in XSI vs. Tipam's msh viewer
I have my export options and hierarchy in the XSI part

8. CHECK "EXPORT XSI NORMALS"
I don't remember off the top of my head if Verbose remains selected... but you do need to check "Export Selection Only," as
Culvar said. I'm not completely sure if that's the problem, but it'll most likely be causing some problem.

Did you uncheck "Keep referenced paths relative"

Yes, I'm pretty sure Verbose is checked.

In the top pic you can see what I checked, but I'll tell you exactly what I checked for the latest export
Verbose, Export Selection Only, Export Used Materials and Images Only, Convert Geometry to Triangles, Export XSI Normals are all checked
The rest are not checked. I froze the modeling and object histories (I clicked both buttons) and then I exported to a 6.0 .xsi text file using Crosswalk 2.6. I ran Mesh Ex, it made a .msh out of it. I opened it in Tipam's msh viewer, and it's still stretched. I have 3 different files of the same model with different names and different exports, but the have completly different file sizes. One is 0 KB (don't know how it opens in Mesh viewer), another is 5 KB, and the last is 8 KB

Freeze all transforms. everywhere. even in the texture uv editor. When in doubt, export as .obj and reimport.

Select everything, export as .obj, reimport and export as .xsi
Worked like a charm
