As far as I know, XSI is necessary. But you can use a free version, too. I export as a .dae usually, then open that in an XSI program. You don't really need to do much in XSI. The scale factor you need to change the model by keeps changing every Sketchup release. It's close to XSI's scale now but not exact.

Technically. Check the modding section, search it
EDIT: Check this forum, too.

Did you make sure the faces were pointed in the right direction in Sketchup? (blue face you can pass through, white you cannot) If you did, it just could be one of the collision bugs that sometimes occur with Sketchup models. By the way, I haven't done any modding or modeling lately, but do I need to update the Sketchup-bf2 tutorial?

I followed your tutorial, I got my bunker model in XSI, but with a huge scale. I must scale it down. I think it's normal, if yes so your tutorial doesn't need to be updated I think.

btw if you download the free trial of google sketchup 8, any errors in your model it will fix automatically if you export it as an .obj! very useful. you only have an accumulative 8 hours on it though (or something like that) so dont waste it.

That tooks me one hour, but I'm pretty happy of the result:
off-topic- I need someone who can convert .dae files to .msh, if anyone here can do it please PM me.

nice! the decoration above the windows seems a bit too excessive though, i think it would look more believeable if you added another level with windows instead.

Yes, I plan on reskinning the textures and adding other textures to polish my model.
Coming soon: new Mos Eisley buildings, Rhen Var and Yavin ruins.
