Yktecsh: Ruins--WIP.

Okay, first off, it's a WIP. I'll have trees, foliage, and blended textures....coblestones by the buildings..

Note that what you see is only about 1/3 of the size of the finished project.

I'll have two more plateus, (both with more buildings than the first) and a cave inside the mountain. This is the trickiest part. It'll go inside the mountain and in there'll be the largest area of buildings, less ruined than the outside ones. (yav, ryn) There'll be a marketplace, and standing off to the shadows the Yktorians. http://www.maj.com/gallery/Epy/stuff/yktorian.jpg

They don't move around, just stand there breating deeply (idle animation?)

Also on the walls are sith artifacts, relics and teachings.

I'll stop my rambling for the moment and gve you guys the screens.

Yes, these are some -very- early beta pics. Why a I posting this? because I need help!

What can I do for Epena to make this map a sucess?

I need a model of the yktorian (seen above). I know this is a huge request. What can I say? :? If done right, he could easily be a huge landmark in the world of BF2. Used over and over, in many maps. (Dathomir?) So, yeah.

Also, I need two more things. The first is the cave. I'd need exactl proportions for it to work. Proportions that I don't have at this stage. It doens't need to be elaborate, though, to all you future helpers! It'd just need a dark gray floor and walls and celing to my proportions. (And generall shaped like a cave)

Then I need a sith bookcase. (note- easy) I'll get a picture sometime later.

If Vyse is willing, I'd be interested in using his Darth Nihilus as an EMP and CIS hero.

RevanSithLord is my skinner. He's also eciding what units should go on what side.

To volunteer to set up the sides, PM me or post.

Let me guys know what you think about it.

;) Yup... feel free to post any suggestions here. Ill make a doc on what stuff we need for the Republic Side, and the third side, I dont know about. The CIS would have custom droids. Ill also find the Stormtroopers AND the Rebels and give them some sort of special design, like putting the Rebel insignia on their shoulders or their backpacks, etc. I will try my best. You if you need my email to talk to me about this, please give me a pm or, talk to me over msn or just send an email to my MSN address on the account I use that really often! :)

Looks promising but dont use that overview of ,what i think is , yavin arena as a ground texture :D

Believe me mah great Lord Bandu, it will improve... he told me so even over MSN. :D It's looking quite promising as you said, but we need help on the sides parts. Again as I said, Ill post the doc here, well I mean, copy and paste the words. So expect a full book on one page!! LMFAO. :lol:

Cool, but kinda booring texture i hope that wil get better;)

And WOW indoor caves with buildings allways wanted that!

Ummmm, yeah.

Recommendation; put like, two or three CPs on that huge winding walkway. Like, one CIS/Rebel on top, one Republic/Imp on the bottom (or the other way around; I don't know how you're laying this out), and a neutral CP right in the middle. Then, you can have really heavy fighting on the walkway. The Rebs/CIS trying to get down, and the Imps/Rep trying to get up. That would be cool.

But so far, looks pretty cool. Still needs work though. Keep up the good work, man.

Yeah. You can't see them ther because this is hero assault, which has yet to be set up.

And I just noticed the regoin resizing box. I have to reset my screen resolution, but...

Glad I saw that.

Now I'll put three on the walkway, where as before I could only -fit- two, and it was capturable from below.

I think this map has erned you the title of WIZARD OF STAIRS

that is mainly what cought my atention about this one

Lol, yeah. I always hated doing stairs, but looks liek you've got it down. Congradulations! I like the look of the map generally so far. Keep it up.

Hmm. I dunno.

But Jango isn't the map's villan....he's only acessable through assault mode. So IMO doesn't matter.

I don't see why this is even relevant, especially since I don't know how to change weapons. It doesn't even interest me. :P
