A friend of mine posted like the same exact thing on another website. I've played a couple of the Battlefield games and I enjoyed them. Can't wait for BF3! Looks like it'll be awesome.

did the star wars mods for bf2 and other bfs ever come out? they had such cool models but i never heard anything more about it

First Strike for Battlefield 2142 came out a few years ago. I've actually still got it installed, though I think the servers arn't as full as they used to be. I remember Lord Bandu worked on it after he stopped modding SWBFII.

I remember that mod. It was pretty cool. I could never get it fully to work, though, and once I did I could never find somebody to play it with. All the servers were vacant.

But, will this game be moddable? I'm hoping that it is.

i should have played that mod but it looks like it was some issue/high maint. installing, i never bought 2142 so guess thats chalked up to the oh well department. cool looking mod though. maybe bf3 is gonna be a must have!

I always hated that the models in that mod looked like they were made of plastic. They were just far too clean.

Ugh. I'm in a hotel room with limited Internet connection, and this comes up. DARN YOU DICE!!!!

To be honest, I'm not excited for Battlefield 3, I bet it's going to be just another Modern-Warfare knock-off or whatever. Besides, I have the "realistic simulation of shooting terrorists in the desert" area pretty much covered already in my gaming library.

It's a true sequel to BF2 so it should play more like it, atleast on pc. I think it's rumored to be a different version on the consoles. But we'll see. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, the PC's supposed to get "something special." I'm really excited for this, and it's the only shooter I'm looking forward to this year besides Crysis 2.

Well, I've always wanted to try Battlefield out, and this ought to give me my fix, at least until the true BF3 comes out

Wait. What? true BF3? This is the true BF3. It's the official sequel to BF2. Unless I'm reading your post wrong.

He's probably talking about Battlefront 3

In which case it needs to be clarified:

SWBF=Battlefront

BF=Battlefield

Yeah, saw this yesterday. I couldn't help but to think back to the old BF2 days of planting C4 on bridges and waiting for jeeps. Will definitely be getting it for PC.

C4 and special ops all they way! I usually just ran around the map long way to get to the arties and uav trailer and blew them up.

So who's kinda excited about that Back to Karkand expansion? Mainly the BF2 maps and content in 3. I sure am.

Im really exited for the GDC now, especially for their tech preview. BFBC 2 was awsome, MOH was in terms of the actual Gun-Shooting Even better, if they continue to Progress like this BF 3 will Be a worthy concurrent for Skyrim played-hours-wise.(BTW I hate you auto completion or what You're called(it actually suggested Camper for called...)

Yes, it'll be great to relive the maps. Hopefully my favourites Strike at Karkhand and Gulf of Omen will be included.
