Talay Tak Base - During the Massacre - By RSL and FOOLIS

Ok, read the rules. I can atleast post a shot of my map in progress. This has been a real pain as a city map so far, lol, but I think it's well enough to go in as 50% or so. Since my map design is pretty much complete (ofcourse I can improve my building choices and locations later though)
I hope this map could become a great success. So I am posting this. As far as I could go, I am posting my ZeroEditor shots of it- one overhead with No Real Lighting and one With.
The one with is what I would like the map to feel like. The dark, cold and horrifying streets of Talay during and after, the massacre.
And ofcourse since I am new to this, I am open to suggestions.
I am still getting the cp's work out.
Then it's the planning and such, and later I think, Majin 'might' help me with sides.
But this is my new series, and it's based on various times on the time-line. Sometimes I may even do things out of my head, who knows. But this concentrates on all Imperial activity during and after the GCW period. Even the Imperial Remnant and New Republic later on maybe. ^_^
Please feel free to say what I can and shouldn't add in my map to make it more 'Talay' like.
This is based on the SW:Dark Forces game, so it's not 100% accurate, but I'm doing what I can. I just hope I can get new buildings to replace these.
May look bad, but hey, what can ya do, I'm new at mapping lol.
EDIT- I'll get more close-up shots when I get home. Yea, I know my map looks a mess lol.
New Screens up! Enjoy! Map is kinda empty, but I'm gonna make it where there are alot more bots on the map. It's suppose to be a chaotic map, so, yea...

I should've listened to Majin Revan though on how hard a city can really be...
ALL THOSE OBJECTS!
Lol.
But this is without water at the moment.
I have to fix my cp's in the lua and all the other stuff in order to make it playable. I'm using various assets too. I'll give the credit when I manage to get all this done. Lol.

Looks good, but I see you have the city right up to the edge of the map. I would suggest, before going any further, to use Multi - select and move all of the objects to the center of the map, then raise the terrain a bit around the edges of the map (like hills, or perhaps even objects, so that you don't see the "edge". Great lighting work, though! I remember Dark Forces - good game. Good luck!

I have suggestion but I don't know if it would make the level to larger or
if you are planning on doing it as another level. but here it is:
1. make holes in the ground that link to a cavern/labrith with baby rancors
(that can be killed but not easlly, like vehicles) that spawn every where (6 at the most)
in the cavern. holes every where and big enough that a tank could fall in.
2. 4 exits/entrances that go in all direction (like the caves in BF2 Dagobah and BF1 Rev
Varn Harbor)
3. 2 starting points for each faction and the rest neutral (mad rush)

Thanks guys. And Jango thanks for the suggestions too.
And if Majin helps me it might have Majin Revan-like Blaster Efx in there too. And if I get new sound, probably that in there too. I am going to make this as unique and as accurate as I can.
I am starting with 4 cp's first, then I'll add more into the appropriate places. I'll also have custom sides when I get everything to get this map playable, so. It might take quite a while.
Here's a question for you guys. What would you all love to see in this map? Any sides/vehicles you'd love to see? Mainly this is gonna be hardcore infantry combat, but I'm sure there had to be a few speeders still there during the attack or something.

I might want a Phase-1 Dark Trooper (could reskin magnaguard) and give it the Imperial Repeater. Then for the Phase-2, maybe like in the game, give it like a pulse repeater cannon. (Believe me I've seen and remember it before. Cause it fired some sort of blue lol)

Suggestion: Change the terrain texture. Yavin textures are....bad.

Well. Which screen you lookin at? The one with no lighting or the one with? (With is the dark one) Cause I think at night you wouldn't really tell what texture it was. Besides. I'm using those brick/stone textures for the city in particular. And we've never really seen Talay's environment. All's we've seen was in the city so far. I'm just working on getting the cp's working and when I do, I'll try and get up some ingame shots.

AHH! So someone is finally doing this!
Well, nice job so far. I like it.
I actually planned to do a bunch of maps on the darktrooper project at one point, but I abandoned it (atleast until later), so as to work on a so far secret map. oops.
Lol, mine looked totally different, there was a good reason why it was abandoned...
If you need skins, I might be able to help; I have alot of my old concepts left over...

If you can't get custom buildings for this map, you should at least reskin the current ones so that they all have the same scheme. It looks a bit unprofessional at the moment. Good for a first map though

. Also, make sure that you edit the sky so that it's more night-timeish; you could give it a space sky if you wanted to.

Hey, looking good. A Dark Trooper phase 1 would be completely sweet, but PLEASE don't give it a gun. That would destroy just about everything that's cool about it. Seriously, for the sake of accuracy, it should have a 1-hit-KO melee attack and quite a lot of HP. As for the phase 2... that would be awesome as well, but talk about overpowered. That's fine IMO, though, since the Rebels
did get massaccred.

Thanks for the suggestion, Timber! Yes, I just might make the Phase-1 full melee. I may have these both as unlockable classes, but I dunno for sure. It actually would be cool. I would actually limit to how many are on the field. Maybe 4 phase ones, and 2 phase 2's allowed? I dunno, you decide! ^_^
