Modes. the mode of MovieMode.

heyho!

shade... here, with bad news





unfortunetly, yes, modes... im new, i know how to mod many things. except modes.


Okay, i create a world. I then copy tantive 4 to that map. works fine. next, i want to create a few characters, works normal. last but not least mode troubles. i create a brand new "MM" MovieMode, set the LUA and stuff, but guess what, it works great. but, it doesnt appear in the instant action menu.
NOTHING. it wont appear in the instant action menu.
the logs didnt say a word.

it works fine typing it in from an admin code, T4Sg_mm online. it just wont appear in the menu.

can anyone help? im sure it has something to do with the mode icons.. :oops:

the only time i can play it, online with an admin code. error logs, nothing.

The only way you can get a new mode to show up on the instant action list is to replace the shell.lvl, and that would cause compatibility errors with the BF1 Conversion Pack.

i hope you dont mean hex editting, dang.
guess gametoast really had to try hard getting conversion pack up.

hex editting, you kidding me!? how do i do that, and with the gamedata folder and all

it would be simpler to relocalize an already existing mode such as eli

Hex editing isn't good enough. You have to replace the entire shell.lvl.

Using the source files that are somewhere in the assets.

Unless Teancum or Zerted nicely took 5 minutes of their time, or maybe it takes longer.

But I'm sure if you make an icon and get it all working, it could be copy pasted into the con packs shell.

I'll add a _mov (Movie) mode to the next release (1.9).

thanks so much teancum! btw, the movie mode problem was just for my friends in =SOTG=, see were doing a scene on tantive four...... they dont use the converion pack :cry:

they should get it gtpwn ....


but thankyou anyway, atleast someone is paying attention to my post..
the mode is _MM, i can change that though.. to make it _mov...

its just to add in the menu.. i dont think ill need it because it works perfect with code. thankyou anyway!!!!! :cry:
