Most of sides fixes asked for in beta now done. Heroes are done. Also now have two skys, light and dark (for pic of dark, see glamour shots topic.)


You'll need to learn to roll a lot - both assassins and magnas jump at you a lot.

Update:
While it only has one era (CW), Maloss now has three modes:
Conquest
Campaign
Survivor
- new


Survivor Mode:
*Play as a lone survivor of a CIS advance, RC-1035 "Drake". Kill droids and vehicles, upgrade and acquire new weapons and retrieve DNA packs. Singleplayer only, sorry.
*Enemies in survivor mode increase in difficulty and number. They don't exactly come in waves.....at any one time there is one team of CIS on the battlefield. Each team has a team leader, a "boss" unit/vehicle, who you must kill to advance to the next team (and there are "level up" limits per team eg. for the first team, you can only get the first three upgrades - emp nades, rifle, extra ammo - until you kill the boss, a "Flame droid").
*The level-up system works like so - once you acquire a certain number of kills, a new weapon/weapon upgrade will be available. You'll have to respawn at a "drop point" (uncapturable cps scattered across the map) to get the new stuff. An on screen message tells you upgrades as you earn them. Most weapons have multiple upgrades:
eg rifle goes like:
Rifle (1 clip) --> Rifle (2 clips) --> Assault Carbine (faster firing; less rounds; 5 clips) --> Particle Rifle (slower; higher damage; 6 clips)
wheras pistol goes like:
Pistol --> Heavy Pistol (chargeup power) --> Commando Pistol (chargeup power + multi shot)
*Killing a boss character (so far "flame sbd" for CIS team 1, "Sith Cultist" for CIS team 2, "AAT" for CIS team 3, "Haji Cama-Codran" for CIS team 4) increases your max health and your shield regen rate.
*Collecting a "DNA Pack" adds an extra 3 reinforcements.

Anyway yeah I've gone on a bit, just excited that I got this kind of game mode to work.

Needs a better flame effect and some scaling up, but.....

1 version is first boss in survivor mode, other is hero in conquest (provided I can get the random heroes stuff to work properly....)

i had a bit time to play the map yesterday and i have to say that its awesome!
especially the new effects are amazing
but i found some small "bugs":
-clone assassin uses forceuseanim for dispensing detpack
-DC15-A has floating icon
-various weapons are missing hudicons
-the groundtexture looks abit weir, if you look directly on it (it could be abit higher resoluted)
-cloneassassinblades have no sounds

i can give you a hudicon for the assassins blades but you will have to rotate it correctly
i can also give you better scaled blades and better idle anim (less choppy)

Better clonecommando - yep wanted to get it already.
HUDicons - yeah I know. will have to fix that.
Resolution - yeah haven't got a "detail" added. will do so.

its great, it doesnt need more details (but more details are allways better) you just can see transitions of the colors a bit too much
pinguin has sounds for the assassinblades too and i could give the "new" assassin an phase1 head within a minute but i have to talk first with pinguin about that

Currently adding final touches - hud tags, a few last localizations, loadscreen, at-rts.

Lone Wolf/Survivor now working fine (managed to win without cheating yay), Campaign added a few longer localisations and chat messages to make it more immersive, heroes now working fully.

Expect a release in next few days.

But Sky, you never replied to my PM. If we weren't supposed to report any bugs or anything, then what are we supposed to report? Or are you just giving us the beta since we did the beta for the sides?

@Clone Captain: not at all, a public beta (more like an omega, really) is available in the released maps section. Lone Wolf/Survivor can't be played though (I still need to add some lua functions to balance things out a bit).
