Utapau: Assault: Released (1.3 released April 17th. 2006)

I am valiantofficer on swbffiles.com.
Well, this is my map for SWBF2. It is shipped Utapau modded to accept new skins made by C-26 over at gametoast. The Republic skins are ALL 212th Attack Batallion skins. As far as I know, there are NO bugs. This mod also gives the Republic unlimited, 100% accurate ammo. Trust me, you will enjoy this map.

Adds Commander Cody skin made by C-26.

Makes Cody skin used on the jettrooper. Paraj Trooper added as officer.

Paraj has a rifle. No more chaingun.

Great variation of the orignial Utapau. I'm glad to finally see some of c-26's skins in game. I also like the infinite ammo, makes it much more fun. :wink:

Off-topic : valiant, you do not have to substitute existing units by new ones in order to get those last ones in Star Wars Battlefront II, especially if the Shell of this LucasArts game can handle about ten characters. If you have any question related to the addition of playable models, then I suggest posting them in the "SWBF2 Modding" section...

PS : Could any GameToast member show me samples of "C-26" textures, and give me links pointing to the thread(s) he has dedicated to them ?

The new version is also great, but just one thing: Change the sniper back to the original parjai sniper, as they were actually in the battle for utapau, unlike Bacara. :wink:

Cody is great.
But map has some mistakes:

1. why carabine awarding to pistol?
2. why Cody has chaingun?
3. why Cody`s unit count 3-4?

And:

4. plz remove engineer, and add airborne Paraj trooper.
5. change sniper-Bacara-type to normal Clone Trooper or Paraj.

I think I posted this on some other site, but here goes anyway. I like what your doing with the skins but i agree with JK514, there are a few minor improvements that could be made.

Limit commander to one per map
Give cody the long version blaster rifle (with rapid fire)
Give trooper class short blaster rifle
Change heavy trooper and engineer class skins to normal trooper style
Have normal sniper skin (or maybe normal troop style, I'll leave that fro you to decide)

But anyways, keep up the good work, maybe you could do the same for Mygeeto (change all skins to the clone commander skin, with long blaster rifle for troopers and use the Bacara heavy trooper skin as commander) and Felucia (similar to Utapau but with black capes and Bly as commander).

You could just change the heavy troopers secondary weapon to a short blaster, since it looks like they still used the longer rifles quite a bit on Utapau.

No I meant have the short blaster rifle instead of the long one, on Utapau it was only Cody who had a long blaster rifle and that's what I suggested as a replacement for the chaingun.

If you look closley, the 212th use both short AND long rifles.

Maybe replace the clone Commander with the jetpack trooper, then replace the jet trooper with a normal clone skin but give him a longer rifle.

So they do, but I'd still prefer it if they had the shorter ones, the big ones seem kinda cumbersome.

Sounds good but it would make more sense to have an engineer instead of the veteran, to keep the game balanced and give Cody a more rapid fire long blaster rifle and i spose it would be cool to have the Parjai skin for the jet trooper/elite trooper.

JK514, 2 words for you: Reference Material! Ok, this?: Republic sides: normal-style clones (trooper, sniper, engineer); paraj trooper (sniper, medic?) and Jet-trooper ? NOT HELPFUL!
Darthdoy: Unless you wanna make a new blaster model, your short rifle idea can't be done. The commando pistol is being used as the DC-15s carbine. That goes for ALL of you.
Now, then: Using your ideas, here is what will happen
Clone Trooper- Clone Engineer= Regular Utapau skins.
Commander skin=Paraj trooper model.
Jettrooper= COMMANDER CODY!!!
Happy now?
