No plans for custom animations, although I might give the Magnaguard Han Solo's pistol stance for the 'cool' factor.

That new model is great; I think it really fits the overblown-pistol-that-shoots-rockets idea. Excellent! The map is looking more beautiful than ever.

will this become a map pack (we can choose the maps we like) or will this become a mod (All or no map)?

The project is being developed as a fully integrated mod, with sides and maps all being packaged together in one addon folder. I am open to the idea of making individual parts of the mod available as separate downloads, however (for example, just the Saleucami map with stock sides). I'll only do this well after the main mod has been released though, and only if there is a decent amount of interest.

Sweet progress on Saleucami, i like the new gun, i had a similar idea with an animation some years ago before i started modding swbf2, but swbf/swbf2 don't know animated weapons. And how goes your progress on Cato Neimoidia ? The house model looks good so far. It is the map i'm most interested with, always wanted a Cato Neimoidia map, you're the maker so i am sure it'll be great.

And I'd like to have a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, but we can't always get everything we want simply by asking, can we?
It's Eggman's mod, so Eggman can do what he wants, not what others want.

I haven't touched Cato Neimoidia in the last week, but I'm hoping to have another update on its progress soon.
Over the last day or two, I've been working more on the sides. I've made some refinements to the mod's class system and the balancing of units/weapons - more on that at a later date.

For now, I'll leave you with some images of a new weapon model I just whipped up: the FA-3 Flechette Launcher, for use by one of the Empire's special units.
I took some creative liberties in a few areas, mostly because those areas aren't visible in any reference images.

Yeah, I tried to find ref pics for that gun too, and no good results. So I played TFU again just to get some screenshots, still not quite as good a ref as I'd like, but they can be found on my Xfire profile if you want to check them out.

I just took a look at them. They didn't reveal any extra details, but they were helpful for getting a better sense of scale - looks like I need to make a few parts just a bit longer. Thanks!

Strange. Is it me or does the grip look a bit like it was taken from the E-5 in the FA-3's construction?
Anyways, great work so far, man!

The magnaguard's redone RLR has 4 instead of 6 missiles per clip, right?

I modeled the grip myself, but I made it pretty much the exact same shape as the E-5's to make sure it would be the right size. I have no idea what the grip looks like in TFU. In any case, I like mine.
ShadowWing wrote:The magnaguard's redone RLR has 4 instead of 6 missiles per clip, right?
Correct. Each shot is a little more powerful to compensate for the smaller clip size.

Nice weapons, and we don't often see Stass Allie in a mod, nice addon

With your Cato Nemoidia, I have a quick question about some scenery. I notice that in the screenshots from EPIII, their are buildings hanging down from the rock arch as well. Now, I understand that there is no practical way to play up there, but will they be lowrez objects like the spires on Mygeeto, or will they be more detailed objects closer to the battlefield. Looks great so far
