Mod Tool is really all you need and would make it easier for asset transfer amongst modders if everyone just used 1 version. Besides, Autodesk hasn't really made any amazing updates in some time, 3ds max suffers pretty bad as well, the viewport performance in Max is terrible. Maya seems to be all they care about, this monopoly has severely slowed the development of Softimage and 3ds Max.

The Problem is it is good for autodesk to just have one tool. blender is nice but nothing for professionals and Softimage an maya are both owned by autodesk. So if this two products get useless because they arent updated, they only have to update 1 product and no one can concurate with them
