Was there a change to the no username changing policy?

I know it was said a time back by some of the admins that usernames cannot be changed. But lately I've seen several accounts around here that I could swore had different usernames before and certainly not because I've been having too much coffee.

I personally don't allow changes unless there's a darn good reason. There's never been anything in writing, but I'm pretty sure that's how the other admins feel. I know of at least one where the name change was a really smart move on the user's part, so we allowed it.
But let me say this for those wanting to change their name. Unless you have a very good reason don't bother asking. A good example taking the clan logo off the front of your name, stuff like that.

Oh I wasn't intending to at all, Was just curious about it and I see why now. Which off the top of my head makes me think a field for users to input their clan in their profile in some way might be a good way to discourage users from making names with clans they may want to change later.

Not a bad idea actually, I'll bring it up to big G.
