I really like the backpacks! I think it greatly improves the look of the soldier, and it looks more accurate to Republic Commando to boot.

I personally think that the shoulders should be a bit bulkier, but other than that, the model is coming along nicely.

wow!

Well my two cents are its coming along really niceley.

Suggestions:
1. The shoulder pads could use a bit more bulk or be a slightley enlarged so that the black mesh isn't too visible.
2. From the lower back to the butt pad (not sure what else I can call it) part could use a bit more polygons so that its a little more smooth looking. Seems a little bit more geometric than it should, maybe more polygons will help it seem smother/rounder.
3. The left and right upper arm peices could be slimmed down/ smoothed a little bit more. Its placed in the right place, just need to be smoothed a bit more where geometric edges kinda point out.
4. The front armor plate at least in my opinion could use something of a slight beef up. seems a little flatter than what the how the games/media dpecited it.

Other than that Texture wise, not bad. I guess the fun part is making your custom skins and what not for it. Can't wait to see what you come up with. The backpacks looks great, I wouldn't change too much about it.

Very good progress you did there. :)
Only real disturbment to me is that the body looks kinda odd compared to the feet and arms (3. pic from top). You should make his armor a bit thicker at his chest.

In the second pic you can see that the armor is a nice curve.
Also you mayby want make the whole visor blue, but there where there is black now blend the blue darker towards the bottom of the visor.

Keep it up. It is really getting there. ;)

thanks, advice like this is exactly what I want :D .
Please try to base your advice on the newer images though.... You say "3rd pic from top", that picture is outdated, helmet and body armor. However you are right about the thickness, that definitely needs attention. Oh and the visor...... Yes I knew the blue goes all the way down, at least in Republic Commando. My friend Gregor here is not so:

So I guess the blue glow on the visor completely depends on the artist's perception. I will release this model when I finish so you can always change it if you want.... you never know I could always make two variants.

Yeah I actually referred to your last post so to the actual pictures. Next time I will try to be a bit more explicit :) .
For the visor I actually didn't think about clone wars. Clone Wars always uses their own style. I don't really like that because they just want to make it look "cool" so it sells better but if they refer to a object or person from the star wars universe they should (in my opinion) always try to make it as exact as possible (exact meaning they shouldn't redesign allready excisting things). Still there style is not bad and I don't think it looks worse or anything I just mean they should respect the idears of the original designers and continue like that. That is why I didn't even consider the clone wars RC.
If you like that style and you want a clone wars RC, I have no problem with that. I just thought I mention this here  .
I did not mean to start a big discussion here that is just my opinion.

Its okay, I'm perfectly fine with a different opinion, also the texture isn't complete yet so there is still room for visor change
AcaelusThorne wrote:If you like that style and you want a clone wars RC, I have no problem with that.
Well my goal is to make it accurate to republic commando like I said, there is still room for visor upgrade. :)

(on another note, I DO NOT own Republic Commando and have actually never played it before, yet somehow I like RCs a lot, so to those who do have RC such as yourself please continue to give advice, it is appreciated very much :D )
