I'm just throwing out ideas here, I don't wanna sound like I have high hopes for it but, here goes.

Essentially it is a wintry map, a la Battle of the Ice between Lithuanians and Russians. I'm sure it could be bigger with more terrain variety, but I didn't have much time. The blue is ice, and the grey gradient goes the lightest being the lowest ground and the darker being higher. I kind of imagined a pond of sorts, with cliffs, and possibly an abandoned outpost for some flare. I'm not saying copy this, but I thought I'd throw out the suggestion of a winter map.

By the way. I want to start a GT(only) City I live on 2 biomes a Forest and a Swamp.
So If you'd like to help me out I can PM coords.

I'm a bit confused; is the war plugin only active at certain times, and the rest of the time it's just SMP?

There are two worlds, separated by a portal. The main world (the one you'll spawn in) is SMP. Use the stargate portal in the main town to be transported to the War World, where you can play War.

If you're going to start a GT only city, tell me, and I'll tell Aero, so that he can protect it properly. I imagine you won't be broadcasting the city creation all over the place, so I can tell him privately.

Well, that was a lovely battle earlier...I think that was the largest MC population I worked with. It's unfortunate my MC ran out of memory in mid-battle, though. I guess I can try again. That was pretty fun. I imagine the war is still going, but I just wanted to update people on the epicness I just witnessed. Second time I logged in today. Wasn't expecting to be drafted to the frontlines like that. As they say, expect the unexpected. And it IS a war server after all! I like this server, Grev. I'm usually not the PvP type, but this server is certainly an exception!

I went there... and there was NOTHING. I was expecting a small settlement. What I got was a horde of creepers, spiders, and skeletons that I had to fight off. With my bare hands. And a stick.

Ahaha! I don't know what Null has been doing to the spawn, so I have no idea what happened. Just type /spawn to return to civilization.

Oh, I know how to get back to spawn, but I was intent on settling our new city. So I braved the wilds of Generic Forest, battling back the evil hordes, and succeeding to settle... a crafting bench.
EDIT: I should clarify when I said "I went THERE", I meant the coordinates Drakus gave me for the GT city. The normal spawn city is fine.

Looks like I am going to have QUITE the adventure myself attempting to arrive at the aforementioned location. The quest to build just a city will be quite challenging, it seems, but challenges are.....expected. Otherwise it would not be fun, aye?

Actually, since 1.9 is on the horizon (apparently), it'd be cool to have something of a pure PvP world, and maybe build a GT city to battle against the rest of the players. Have inter-town wars. That'd be interesting to play, and interesting to film.

Umm... what happened to Safahfja? There's no warp to it.

Hmmm. Aero or Null probably removed it. I don't know why. I'll run it by them.

If you're going to do a PVP world, might I suggest the "Factions" plugin? Or a similar clan-based one? If you're planning on doing GT vs rest, that is.
