No shadow data!
What does this mean? I deleted some objects that were in my map and munged it and it crashed so then I put the odfs back in the folder and munged it again but it still crashed so I did a clean and munged. It got the same error. I had lighting before this error happened, so it happened around the time that I deleted the odfs of the objects that were still in my map.

When you say you deleted some objects are you saying you loaded your map and deleted them in ZeroEditor or just removed the source files from the odf/msh folders? Did you burn the terrain or anything?

I accidentally deleted the odf files for them.

Can you remove the objects from the map within ZeroEditor then save a new wld file and see if it helps, or have you tried this already?

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that because they are stacked boxes, but I deleted the two types of objects from my map and it did not help.

What about just adding back the odf files and other files you may have deleted. Also could you give a bit more description on what exactly you deleted.

I did do that. I deleted the odf files for some objects that were still in my map.

Oh, and I found this in my mungelog:

Code: Select all

WARNING[PC_modelmunge msh\eddie_prop_container01.msh]:_PC_WriteShadowVolume(eddie_prop_container01): invalid shadow face normal
WARNING[PC_modelmunge msh\eddie_prop_container01.msh]:_PC_WriteShadowVolume(eddie_prop_container01LOWD): invalid shadow face normal

Have you had a successful munge after having placed the specified objects?
If not, try deleting the model and check whether you can munge now.

But your crash can also be unrelated to your mungelog - at least I experienced a couple of CTDs without having anything in log. Does your map crash after it's fully being loaded or before?

I'm pretty sure that's just a warning - it shouldn't impact on anything ingame, except maybe the textures on that prop......

So you're totally sure that you made no other changes at the same time? Because it obviously isn't your props if removing them made no difference....

The shadow data warning may have nothing to do with the crash. I'm talking about the mungelog and the debug log - and no, I don't actually have those objects specified in the munge log in my map.

I'm starting to think it's not the shadow data.

And if you want everything I did before I did the crash, I moved around the spawn points and added a bunch of objects(from squeddie's pack).

EDIT: I removed my fog but that didn't do anything. Time for plan B.
