Slight but annoying Map texture problem
A picture is worth a 1000 words, plus I can't find a way to describe it, but I am certain most beginners have the same problem, is there any way to solve this issue? I thought it was cuz I play and test on low quality, but the pic was with HQ video settings...
I would do a search but I don't figure even a name for this thing.

Re: Slight but annoying Map texture problem...
You can use "Blend" under the texture tab.

You can't overlap more than two terrain textures in any given spot. What you're seeing there is three or more terrain textures trying to blend.

Re: Slight but annoying Map texture problem [Solved]
That means I will need to properly re-texture the map, I used to always put the 1st texture as base and never leave a blank spot, thanks.
EDIT
It is still there, I am trying to work around it but not even with only 2 textures blended, I recall this problem from past projects but it looks like my actual map won't be as perfect as I tried to make it...

Then you either did it wrong or you need to clean. This problem only comes up because of too many textures overlapping.vampire_lord wrote:It is still there, I am trying to work around it but not even with only 2 textures blended, I recall this problem from past projects but it looks like my actual map won't be as perfect as I tried to make it...

Re: Slight but annoying Map texture problem
You mean Clean like in cleaning on visual munge and all that stuff? I'll try it then, I just completed the hintnodes and connections, but I need to get rid of all unused objects in folders and stuff, I have been just munging after correcting the textures with no changes in those places.
I'll edit this if I see some changes...

Or you could try a manual clean.

Re: Slight but annoying Map texture problem
I did both regular clean, the thing is there every time I put a texture ariund (if I don't it uses texture 0 by default on any blank space), then I did a manual clean and it still appeared, sometimes I remember squares in my maps, those were never covered by any texture I applied, I don't know what else could be, any texture I put or spray around the square is made flat and square shaped, this time is the only one there...
