What happened to my avatar?

Post by PieDude797 »

Okay, my avatar was there earlier, then i went to work on some stuff, then I came back and it wasn't there. And I go to my profile and i can't add an avatar. What did I do wrong?

Your avatar was too big. PM an admin to see if you can get your avatar rights back. But you need to make sure that it is the right size.

A note to the admins: I find it frustrating that the admins go and lock the avatar gihts without telling the user whats going on. My avatar was too big some time ago and it dissapeared so I put it back in again and it dissapeared again. THis happened about 2 or three times until Teancum PMed me to tell me that my avatar was too big. So I just resized it and put it up again. I think the admins should PM the members more to tell them that they are doing something wrong instead of leaving them in the dark and removing certain rights or abilities.

[EDIT]: Unless of course the admins have PMed you and you didn't resize it.

On the admins side of the story...

The rules do state that avatars are to be 150 wide, 200 tall, and it is required to read the rules.

Any time we update the rules we tell everyone to read them again. So we think it's more than fair if an avatar is too big to pull that users privileges for two weeks. There's no reason anyone needs an avatar bigger than ~ 120x120, but we decided to cut everyone slack.
