Battle For Saleucami - Released 12/31/06

This is a heavy infantry/fast attack/vehicle combat map. There is a lot of space and great detail to notice. Vehicles are added in to tweak gameplay, but most of the fighting is concentrated infantry warfare near the midpoint of the map.

Well I'd rather finish one up considering it was my pride and joy.
I still consider it my baby. It died a long time ago and I just buried it a couple hours ago, reproduced another one and am now growing it.

I did find one pic from the old Saleucami thread by CaptMazda. Its probably not what it is now, but its a gerneral sense of what it is (ZE pic)

Ooh, I remember that. That's the Republic/Imperial base.
Brings back memories. I tell you, it's not easy doing advanced modding when...you've forgotten all the...advanced...things...bzzt.

Ah, ZE is so much better at a resolution of 1280x1024 =)
-how did you do that? I have a high res of 1280x1024, but it uses the default 800x600 resolution.....

No, actually it uses 1024x768.
It's still easier to work with as I can easily get into the modding folders, WMP, Photoshop, etc.

Good to see that the project is back on again.
Regarding some possible improvements, I really would like to see more action in this new map. The old one was just too big, and I spent way too much time hunting down the last few enemy troops. I would like to see a smaller map this time, with more action (XL-style) and
way more troops. That would make this map a lot more fun to play, and I'm sure it would elevate your status among modders...

To what? I've done all you can do in terms of modding this game, which is why I have created a new map, completely from scratch for the community. I don't play this crap game, I'm just trying to make it more playable and fun for others.

looks good... there is just one thing... it looks
way to similar to Guitarman's/Schizo's Saleucami... You should change the sky.. if you want it to be different looking... and reskin the Geonosis bunker

Gameplay could be way different. Same weather, same smeather.
As long as one that has an iconic feature, well, significant feature such as a mountain or something with caves are a giant salu-cliff or something. Its the the layout that matters
As for gameplay, they should both be equally good --as best as possible.

I like the new look. Looks better than the old version, no offense of course because its not like I could do anything as good.

Lots of work done today. Just going for another round of testing so I can backup the source folder.
Tomorrow I'll get on the barriers, planning, paths, and nodes. Basically everything to do with AI.
