If I remember correctly (and I do) the droids had a special paint job in that episode, to show they were republic training droids. If I can find some reference pictures I could make the skins for you. I figured I could help out a little.

The face looks this because is the texture. I don't know if i fix the face for the autor of the skin...

ok it's because of the Mouth and the Visor. there is a bit Light reflexion and so the face looks streached. if you give me the Tga file i can try to fix this

both look a bit silver. and i don't think they really used Silver for battledroid XD.

can you make the SBD a bit more grey and darker?? only a litle bit.
and the BD a bit more brown.
