I've been having an odd error when reskinning units. Whenever they go to low rez mode they look ridiculously morphed, and either have strange warped guns or no guns at all. It wouldn't bother me that much except that it happens at a pretty close distance even though I have the distance bar in the Video options turned all the way up.
In case it matters, these aren't units on maps that I've made myself. I munged all the side .lvl files (all.lvl, allshell.lvl, etc.) & replaced the ones that shipped with the game so that my new units would show up on all the shipped maps.

P.S. Yes I backed up the original side .lvl files.

So I can't figure out how to post a screenshot because I'm not very good at this forum stuff. I have made some progress...I had been using the regular units models as the lowrez models, and when I used the _low1 models instead they stopped looking all morphed and silly. However, as soon as they go to lowrez they are still missing their guns. The units all look like they're running around with their hands raised but with no guns in them. I'm not sure a screenshot would help describe that any better anyway.

Well you have the LOD distance bar all the way up, too, right?
I guess that's a dumb question, as you probably do.
As far as I've seen (on the normal, non-edited models), when a character gets a certain distance away, their animations are limited to standing still or looking like they're jogging. This happens all the time on the PSP, and on the PC, I've noticed it on XL maps where there are craploads of soldiers running around.

Yes, I have the LOD bar all the way up and the viewing distance all the way up. I have a fast computer so I have all settings as high as they'll go.
EDIT: So I uninstalled my game, deleted the folder, reinstalled the game and applied the patch. I then loaded it up completely fresh with no changes and the low-res units are still missing their guns. Does that normally happen once the units swap into low-res? Cause I definitely don't remember that being the case.
