Ok, I think I get it now :D , Thank's. Now I have three more questions :lol: :

1. Do I need to make any lowrez or collision geometry for my gun?
2. How do I lower the polygon count on my gun model?
3. Is there someone who can help export my gun model :lol:( Iv'e practicly finished my gun, but I'm using the free XSI 6.0 mod tool so I can't export myself :faint: )??

The gun doesn't need any other meshes, like collision, you could give it a SV but you don't need it.

To lower the polie count, look under the deform>polymesh>Filter Polygons.

Move the slider around, till you get your desired result.

Is the gun textured?

No, still need to skin it or have someone else do it, but the model is complete :D .

Where do I find deform>polymesh>Filter polygons :? ???

In addition to Caleb's post. You can select the whole model to filter or you can just select a group of polygons to filter. This second part is good if you just want to get rid of polies say on the end of a cylinder but not affect the whole model.

That's why I couldn't find the button :lol: . I've already reduced polygons on my model from around 5,100 to around 2,500 :D by just deleting edges. What is the general polygon count on weapons??

@Jedi Pilot

To export from Mod Tool using Crosswalk, use Rep's awesome Mshex tool here - http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 64&t=15082

And you can find the poly limits for each type of model in the documentation that comes with the ModTools (XSI Getting started or something)
