I gotta agree with everyone except Mav. Although, I'm sorta glad I got the Wii version. I saw the 360 death star

Con-fus-ing! It actually was amazing graphics, but the death star graphics were just terribly dark and dull on the 360.

While I agree with Maveritchell, I agree with Teancum as well. This is a new type of game, its own category. Out of the Battlefront style games, the first battlefront is obviously the better. Out of flight games, such and such is the better. Out of games with rich plots and thick storylines (like syrup), KoTOR takes the cake. But this is its own genre, and its definitely the best (although the first) in its class.

It appears not everyone agrees with your analysis.

Force Unleashed is an action-adventure game, like Dark Forces and its sequels (Jedi Knight series) - which were all recieved very well.
Out of your examples, only Knights 1 (an RPG) was actually received as better than its sequel. Whether it's some crazy coincidence or whether it's just the nature of Star Wars, second usually seems to be better (just ask Empire Strikes Back).

So has anyone gotten the newest chapter in the Star Wars Saga the Force Unleashed? I got it for my Wii the day after it came out, and let me tell you. It is... AWESOME. If you are deciding on getting and have Wii and a playstation, get it for Wii! I have a few disappointments about the game, thou, and here they are:
1) Longer campaign time (runs 6hrs)
2) When are other players in the duel mode, they should have their own fighting sequences, and not all have the same.
3) The Love story. Now it seems as though they always seem to put in a love story when there shouldn't be one and this one shouldn't. I don't like for some reason.
4) Better graphics. Now this game has good graphics, but not all that great. Such as the peoples' skin making it more detail such as the Apprentice and Juno Eclipse.
I think that's all of them... I'll be sure to put more up if I have anymore.
Who else here has gotten the game?

There's a Force Unleashed thread already, a couple threads down from this one:
Here
I guess you may have missed it, seeing as it's named TFU rather than The Force Unleashed, making it a bit harder to spot.

Honestly though, what you see on the Wii is pushing the envelope. It just can't do next-gen like other consoles. It can still be pushed further, but truthfully you just can't expect graphics that are much better than PS2's at the moment.
Just rented it for the 360. I'm stoked. But I gotta beat it by Wednesday at midnight

I don't think it's the best SP SW game, nothing beats KotOR.
Lol, dude everything beats KotOR. BF2, Bounty Hunter, and Force Unleashed is WAY better.

I wasn't stating exact games- in fact I didn't even mention any flight game's names. I also guessed with all the info I did include. As for the Force Unleashed, I meant its content, the all out force in your face new kind of stuff. I didnt name it by genres (like action, you brought up), but instead by gameplay mechanics and such.

The Wii isn't next-gen like the 360 or PS3, but it's better even than PS2, and I know well what the PS2 can do. Heck, some of the PS2's
dynamically rendered stuff was better than what I've seen in this particular game, not to mention the cutscenes.
I've seen better models made for Battlefront than what was shown in some of Force Unleashed cutscenes. Now, I know why - because the Wii version is essentially a port of a game designed for an inferior system - but Krome's Force Unleashed doesn't push the envelope on the PS2, much less the Wii.
Normally I'm a big "substance over appearance" guy, but it's worth mentioning how unimpressive this looked for what it could have been (...and they had the gall to put on the boxart and in the manual renders from PS3 cutscenes - the Wii didn't even have any cutscenes, per se.)

No more off-topic posts. If your post doesn't have some relevance to the topic at hand, then it is by definition off-topic and against the rules.
Also, opinions are fine, making ad hominem attacks against those of differing opinions
is not.
If anyone wants to debate the comparative merits of a certain LucasArts/Bioware highly critically- and fan- acclaimed game versus those of any other less well-recieved game (hint: that's almost all of them), then start another thread about it. That's the final word on the matter.

I can help get this thread back on topic.
I just played the 360 version at a friends. Watched the cinematics, played level 1 to Raxis. And fought
, seen the finally fight. And I have to say it's a great game, flaws, but what doesn't have it.
My favorite thing about the game is the story. It's so great. Some parts are iffy, but overall a great adventure. Juno and Proxy are great characters that work very well with the Apprentice.

So I'm definitely going to beat it before I return it to Hollywood Video. Love the game, but I won't miss it for quite awhile after I return it. Not that I'll ever be a big 360 achievement type of guy, but I have zero desire to do all the extra achievements for this one.
Great game, poor replayability.

Wait a minute...
Were you in duel mode? 'Cause you don't duel him in the game... Unless the campaign is different for every gamesystem since I only have it for Wii.
But I agree, I to love the Story I especially like it when he goes to Corellia and gets betrayed by Vader. My only disappointment was the love scene. I hate those... even ones that aren't good, like this one...
