Effects and ordnance disappearing

When I make mods I usually have lots of effects and some rapid fire weapons. I find that when there are too many effects in play at once they disappear and don't come back until the end of the match which is quite annoying. Also when too many bullets are in play everything stops firing untill some go away. For example when I have 32 ai on the map and walk into a group of units who have weapons like my modified chainguns and tommy guns and what not they end up firing to the shot limit or something and I can only fight back with melee attacks if I have any.

I've found that effects disappear at different times for different computers, it may be that my processor is weak. The ordnance not firing problem I'm not sure if its a limit in the game or just that the system can't handle it.

My question to you, the reader, is: has this ever happened to you? and have you found ways to make it stop other than upgrading the computer that you are using?

The problem is with the engine, mainly. The main contributing factor to disappearing effects is their particle count.

I do have a few effects with a lot of particles but usually those are usually explosions that are over quickly, I did notice that using the incenerator with a stock effect but higher rate of fire can make the effects disappear in about a minute or sometimes less, especially if fired nonstop.

I don't get the point of the poll, but aight.

Keep in mind, each one of those blaster bolts creates an effect upon impact, hundreds of bolts each causing 3 sparks to fly out is still many hundred particles. And the default impact fx is like, 20 particles or something, I forget.

I'm just gonna throw out the fact that the game is almost seven years old and runs on tech much older than that.
