W.I.P. Crashed Escape Pod model(updated 13-08)

Hello Fella's(sorry couldn't help it :P)

I just started on an Escaped pod(R2 and 3PO's Crashed version) since I need one for The siege of Mos Eisley, and I tought, hey, why not post an earley work in progress picture before I go to sleep :P.
Behold!!! a cylinder...

So ehm, If I say A crashed escape pod, What do you guys think about...I have a blueprint of an intact version but I can't find any refference of the crashed model used in EPI IV..

Ehm, I don't think I can say anything usefull anymore today, cya tommorrow:D :P

Sweeeeeet. Here's an ideal use if you want. Have it flyable and to crash into people like a gaint guided rocket. Or have a cap ship and one of the turrets fires off escape pods. Great job! Can't wait to see it textured!

Or Animate isome crashing into the ground for atmosphere.

A little Update, It's not exactly accurate but well, maybe the crash has done some strange things to the pod.
Not finished yet but closer to the finish :D :

lol, naa, those are the Main Thrusters, and the complete model will be rotated.

I suggest that you make the main thrusters (aka: legs :P) a bit smaller, as they don't seem to fit properly with the actual life pod. Otherwise, it's good. Nice job!

I actually think they allready are somewhat on the small side, I'd keep em the way they are :P

I used a blueprint for modeling. But one many refference pictures the pod itselve is much wider. I'm considdering to adjust that...

Texturing and skinning SHOLD take 2/3 of the time before it can be considered a 'good job' :wink: if you don't it probably will look crappy :P just so you remember :wink: the magic lies in the Texture :D keep us updated :)
