Well yea I've been having some trouble downloading these maps...I mean they actually download fine, but I really can't figure out how to extract anything.
Do you think I could get step by step instructions of anything I need to download (a file extractor or something) or perhaps what I'm doing wrong?
Please help

Once you download the zip file (I assume you know how to unzip a zipped file), you look for a folder that has a name like "dra2" or "EDH" or something like that (mine would be "Rippen1"). It's the folder that contains the map and addme script files. Take that folder and extract it to your SWBF/gamedata/addon folder.
Heck, ya really don't even have to "extract" anything, just click open the zip file and drag that folder to the game's addon folder. Then the map will appear in the list of maps when you play the game. You can also read the readme files of these maps, which usually contain instructions on how to use them.

^what he said or just select all and unzip them to your gamedata/addon folder (which you should have if you have patch 1.2)

More info please, like what operating system do you use?(windows XP,ME,98,2000, or MAC OS X or a Linux based system) Some of these operating systems have built in support for .zip files, while some don't and you have to download an extra program.

you must not have the 1.2 patch then. if you had the patch it would be in StwarsBattlefront/gamedata/addon you can find the patch here I think

Once the files are in the add on folder can you delete them from other locations?

As long as they're in the Addon folder you don't need the files anywhere else
