Apr 03, 12 at 3:51am ^SW Battlefront 2 pc version problem
Hi, I have problem with lag/sluttering in menu, after I start the game and login to my profile(starts to lag even if i dont login though) and wait few seconds my cursor and the whole game is lagging and i can't start a game, so the game is pretty much useless to me.
I tried few "solutions" i found on google like re-installing game, updating my drivers, changing mixer config to disabled, hardware or software didnt help(although the game froze when i changed it) also tried running the game with /nosound command, lowering my settings of course and some other things i cant remember right now.
i also tried contacting lucasarts support but they said they can't help me because im not from america ofc theres also support for other countries but only telephone and i cant use it currently thats why i was emailing them in the first place.
i passed the syscheck ofcourse and the game worked perfectly for half the year before I installed new windows xp.
please help me otherwise i will never play this game again...

That 1 GB RAM worries me.
Is it a totally fresh install of Windows XP?
Are you running any other programs outside of SWBF2? Skype? Xfire? Steam? Antivirus?
SWBF2 needs 256 MB free, minimum.
And it's recommended that you have 512 MB free. That's half of what you have.
Windows XP, fresh install after you've installed all the drivers, will probably clock around 125 MB AT MINIMUM. Start adding background programs, and that goes up. A lot.
What I'd do is right now, Ctrl+Alt+Delete and check out your performance and processes. Don't close anything down before hand, just see what's taking up the most RAM on your system in its current state. And if it turns out that you have more than 512 MB of RAM free for gaming, then I don't know what to tell you. But I'm willing to bet that's the culprit here.

Meh, a gigabyte of RAM
should suffice to run Battlefront. My Dell Inspiron 530 desktop only had a gigabyte of RAM, an Intel Pentium 1.6 GHz dual-core processor and a crappy NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS graphics card, and that machine ran Battlefront great on high settings other than low shadows or any anti-aliasing, and that thing was running Vista, the memory hog! And even then, my Inspiron 1501 laptop ran Battlefront not
too poorly, and that old thing had like, an Intel Pentium 1.5 GHz single-core processor, 896 megabytes of RAM, and a crappy non-dedicated integrated Intel Graphics GPU.
