Ahh, I saw that error yesterday. I was trying to output the class name of a character (wasn't able to figure out how to do it). I'm not exactly sure what caused the error and I only saw it once. I'm using Windows 2003 so its unlikely a Vista problem.

That usually mean's your computer is having trouble reading from your CD. This would either mean that your CD is scratched or smudged. I'd get some CD cleaner. I got this error when my BF1 CD got overly scratched/smudged. If CD cleaner doesn't work, one neat trick is washing the cd with tooth paste. Helps smooth the cracks and makes the CD more readable. There are youtube videos of it. Though I would recommend CD cleaner first...

If all else fails you could just buy a new CD.

There are many reasons that can cause that.
In my map or example, if you throw the orbital attack beacon at a vehicle and a laser hits that vehicle, that error pops up, too.

Speaking as a non-staff member, I would never buy a game I already own and you shouldn't too.

@Pinguin, that still means the game is having trouble reading from the cd. That error can pop up in different places depending on where the cd is scratched. You can get it on installation/reinstallation, somewhere in-game, or on game-start-up.

@Zerted SWBFII costs less than 8 dollars now, so getting a new CD wouldn't be that big of a deal (in my opinion). Though like i said, i would try to fix your scratched CD first.

So every friend I have has a scratch on exact that specific place? I don't think so.

Not true. My CD is in perfect condition, and this happens when I overload my game with objects/effects.

this happens to me sometimes when my comp is still lagging a lot..... usually it happens because it took to long to figure out what the program was trying to compute. but i could be mistaken as well...... but if you all have had this happen to you in diffrent ways it could just be that several things can cause this.....

Really? Hmmm...i've seen so many errors lately I think i'm starting to get some of them mixed up >.<

EDIT: Oh yes I am getting them mixed up. I'm thinking of the Cyclic Redundancy error. Not a Runtime error. My bad, just disregard my previous posts in this topic. :runaway:
