Stretched terrain

So I create a map, go into ZE and make it bigger/smaller. I change the height, move some CPs around, etc. and then I go to try my map. When I spawn, I spawn below ground and simply fall. I look up to see elongated height changes I made on the border of the map. I change the SetMaxFlyHeight and stuff to 500, thinking that it s pushing me down, and I munge and try again. Same thing with the elongated hills.

Oh, and I think the Paths moved towards the elongated hills.

How can I fix this?

Did you raise the spawn paths?

I right-clicked to make them raise to terrain, which usually works... :?

I also lowered the terrain below zero... would that effect it? (the "elongated" terrain is on the opposite side though.)

What exactly do you mean by elongated? Really high?

Cause you will be able to fall/walk right through steep hills.

Just a question, how do you change the map size? Like make the "Board" bigger? Because you mentioned that you made it bigger first post...

Its in the confix.ini in C:\BF2_ModTools\data_ABC

But don't change it after you've made and put objects in the map, it will mess up..

Its stretched. At the edge of my map, it takes those edge heights and does this:

Code: Select all

    wv-^----'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
     ^ ^ ^
terrain edge off of edge of ZE terrain
@ Grev: Go up to the upper right corner and click Terrain; Create New Terrain

When I do that, it comes up with a blank terrain and textures dont work...

That's what happens. Then yo just have to ADD textures.

You've got to keep the terrain at common intervals for example: 512x512, 256x256, 128x128 etc.. That way it won't stretch out the terrain.
