I don't exactly understand what I'm supposed to download? I know how to unmunge as I read the tutorial that tells you how to unmunge but it doesn't say weather I also need to download the source code and the .exe or just the source code, and vice versa.

Source code is just there for reference and in case anyone wants to contribute to the project (I assume).

You need the executable if you want to actually use the program. ;)

Thanks Marth for letting me know. I've been trying to unmunge a previous project I made, but didn't know what I needed to get the job done.

There were already some skins and models stolen from a project of mine. No big deal I would've gave them the models anyway if they asked and gave proper credit. Nice tool, though.

Yeah, that isn't cool at all. That's not the purpose of this tool, it's for the purpose of either helping to see how things are put together, or recovering a project if it went south on you and you lost the assets. You should only use it to get somebody else's assets if you seek their permission to do so first.

Which mod(s) features your stolen work?

I found out about it by chance when I was browsing SWBFII mod videos to get inspiration.
https://youtu.be/I40KwiTCqKg?t=295 The heavy trooper skin was made for SWBFII Clone Wars Era Mod and I haven't released any assets yet.
I couldn't find the "Ultimate Pack mod" from the video. No big deal though.

But that video was posted on the April 5, 2017 and this tool was released on July 6, 2017 on SWBFGamers, and Oct 14, 2017 on GT...how is that even possible?

Hmm, that's strange indeed. I just know that I made this skin from scratch exclusively for the Clone Wars Era Mod.

Ripping textures was still possible prior to the creation of this tool. luck3y's .LVL extractor is able to extract textures in DDS format. Texmod was able to extract them as well. I suppose they also could have ripped the texture manually with a hex editor. That would also be the method required to obtain the models at the time, so if they also took your models, they must have been really dedicated.

You are right, but still who knows, maybe it's just a similar skin.

How exactly do I use this tool? As far as my intentions; there are a LARGE number of custom maps that are in DIRE need of updates as far as custom sides. This unmunge tool can EASILY help me tailor a large number of my side mods to better suit these map's side requirements. Also for updating Commander Awesome's skin changer.

{Update} Never mind. Found out how to do it. Surprisingly simple. However I seem to be unable to extract some Msh files...

Activate "snap to rotation" and turn off "snap to grid" inside zero editor then you can easily twist objects back to their correct rotation.

Any one else had a problem with unmunging cloth?
Visual Munge crashes when I try to munge unmunged cloth. Any suggestions?
