Two (at first) Vehicle Questions
Okay, I'm making a Seguay (spelling?)! So right now I have two questions. One: How do I make the treads be animated? Two: Do I put the hp_pilot where the waist will be or where the feet will be, or the head, or etc.?

For the first question have a look at this from the FAQ http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... =36&t=8854
For the second start with the hp_pilot or driver or what ever you want to call it at the dummyroot position and see where it lines up in game. A lot of the time it is a hit and miss move it and try again but 0,0,0 is always a good starting point for a hover.
For a flyer put the hp_pilot pretty much where the pilot would be.

It's closer to a hover, but he's going to be standing on it, so wouldn't he just be standing on the ground?
