Not even close, this follows the beginning of Luke Skywalker's Path of Destruction as he leads the Rebel crusade against the Imperial Empire.

Pardon me, but none of anyone knows exactly what I have planned. While the main focus will be on Luke, expect there to be - at the very least - some cameos from other recent games set in the time period.
And since I haven't actually given any more information than a short teaser, here is some information on one of the heroes and his hero support unit:
Hero: Luke Skywalker
Weapons: Luke's Lightsaber, Luke's Blaster Pistol
Luke is one of two Jedi heroes in this version of the mod that don't use force powers. While he still has a combo (with Force Finisher) just like the other Jedi heroes, instead of proper force powers he can use his blaster as a secondary weapon.
Hero Support: Rogue Repulsor Trooper
Weapons: (Rapid-Fire) A-295 Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol, Detpacks, Incendiary Detonators
The Rogue Repulsor Trooper is a member of Rogue Squadron equipped with repulsor boots. The repulsor boots don't lift the unit up like a jetpack (or jump pack), but instead, if the unit jumps from a high height, he can use the repulsor boots to "coast" through the air for long distances.

Repulsor trooper looks awesome (great idea, even if you did get it from wookiepedia or some other source), and Incendiary Grenades =
Assume they set fire to things?

I meant do they actually set units on fire, rather than just doing lots of damage to infantry + mines.

I can't believe I missed this for the past few days! This sounds great,
Mav'. You always have quality work, and this mod seems to be no exception. Keep up the great and creative work (The repulsor trooper is an interesting spin on the flying unit.

), and I look forward to the release! I just hope my mission count can handle it!

Hmm, will the AI know how to use it? I don't remember seeing them jumping that much during a match, much less from high heights.

Idk, the AI can do strange things...the BFX General Grevious will sometimes use his jetpack to Ranfomly fly to obscene heights...backwards...
I've also seen that the AI in Mos Eisley assault will use their jetpacks if you use Fake Console to turn them on. The repulsor trooper just might work by chance, lol...

Wow, this looks really nice. I've been away from GT for a little while and look what's here! I really enjoyed the Dark Times mod, and this looks like it'll be pretty cool too.

The Repulsor Trooper is actually a conceit I made for the first unit I ever made for Battlefront - I wanted to have a Rogue Squadron jet unit, but that model didn't have a jetpack (and this was before Rep had played around with hex-editing MODL chunks to anything), so I called it a "repulsor" trooper. This design is just expanded on that concept.
Skyhammer_216 wrote:Assume they set fire to things?
Yes, the Incendiary Detonators do set fire rather than just doing damage.
Nihillo wrote:Hmm, will the AI know how to use it?
Yes, they can use it, although not to full effect (just like their uses of any other jet movement).
Dom380 wrote:makes sence for luke to not have the force but how does he know how to use a lightsaber?
In a lot of material set in this time period, Luke is shown with some lightsaber proficiency. Since having only a basic use of a lightsaber in this mod would - I feel - detract from the gameplay (since every other melee hero uses an expanded combo), I gave him that but preserved the "lightsaber proficiency only" idea by not giving him force powers.
...and in that vein, I mentioned two Jedi heroes from this era that can use a lightsaber but no force powers. This is the other Jedi - or Dark Jedi, rather - from this time period that has only a lightsaber.
Hero: Mara Jade
Weapons: Mara Jade's Lightsaber, Sith Lanvarok
Since at this point in time, Mara Jade is only an Emperor's Hand and not a full Jedi (or Dark Jedi), she, like Luke, has only lightsaber proficiency. Her secondary weapon, a Sith lanvarok, is a small disc shooter that, once fired, will be guided towards the target (ostensibly through Jade's use of the Force).
Hero Support: Storm Commando
Weapons: E-11 Blaster Carbine, Melee Attack, Shock Detonators, Poison Detonators
The Storm Commandos look a lot like Scout Troopers, but they are much more heavily armed. The blaster carbine (like all carbines in this mod) fires shots in bursts. The melee attack is virtually identical to the Bothan Spy's melee attack.

That, is cool. Period. Are those you models(Jade and the launcher)? Also, I like the scout's body language in the storm commando's picture. He gives off the feeling that the commando just came out of now where. All and all, this all very nicely done. You never cease to amaze me.

Lol, I like that first storm commando pic.

The Scout trooper looks jealous.
Bw, nice update, Mav, as always.

Blade117 wrote:What do you meanby hero support?
If you've played the original Dark Times, it is the same concept. For the most part the sides are the same map-to-map, but at the beginning of every mission, a random hero is loaded. Each hero has a special unit assigned to it - a "hero support" unit. For example, every time the Emperor is the hero, there are Royal Guards available as support units.
RED51 wrote:Are those you models(Jade and the launcher)?
Yes; every new hero you see will be a new one of "my" models - in reality they are all edited stock models.
