You're not spamming this thread; it's serving its purpose just fine so try to keep all your mod/map ideas in it. Asking for a separate forum is a little over the top, especially for the very reasons Xavious pointed out.

Lord of the Rings maps/mods/sides? Someone did an excellent Helms Deep map that was considered a beta but looked perfect to me.

All we need is a thread. I tried making one but it got deleted almost instantly!

LOTR Map would be good, but very hard... If you had a great modeler, and a greatanimater.....

You would have the fellowship on one team, with their conterparts/adversitys on the other.....

A thread for a mod requires that the mod is 50% complete, has screenshots, and is posted in the Map/Mods in Progress forum. This thread is for organizing teams, in order to keep the less-than-50% mod threads from "spamming up" the SWBF2 General forum.

If you need a more effective form of communication, one member could set up a simple, free forum elsewhere and invite all team members to join. You could also communicate through Xfire (or any instant messenger), through PMs, or through e-mail.

i don't plan on releaseing them like the bfx assests becuase of author confusion but i will post assests or like if you want a specific assests also i will post what is needed to add BFSM to your map so you could use unit from BFSM and your own units.

That's more of what I meant. I know it got deleted, but that's why I meant ask the mods if we can have one that stays open.

So guys, for the SWBF2 Reborn mod, how many maps are we actually gonna do?

I have completed endor and now working on felucia. I'm gonna have locals for endor but im not to sure about felucia, unless someone has allready made a falucian warrior model.

Yeah, you're right about needing a great modeler and animator. I'm useless at both of those; I don't know how to model and ZeroEditor doesn't work for me :(

But you're right about the fellowship/counterparts. I'm not sure bout Aragorn/The Witch King though.
But for Shelob you could use an Acklay and then modify it. :funny2:

Yeah... I thought aragorn and the witch king because one is the witch king, the leader of the nine, and aragorn is also a king, of gondor, they are both decended from the dead country of nemenor, (The which king was actualy alife when it was destroyed) and aragorn became the leader of the fellowship when gandalf was "killed" at moria. Did you know that gandalf was born in the valar? And that he was there when saron was defeated for the first time? HE WAS THERE WHEN MORGOTH was defeated I think.....




they could be the heros to be honist...
You could have orc warrior, as infantry, orc ranger as sniper, orcbeserker as heavy trooper and gobiln tinkerer as engineer.... with urckia as captain... and Nazgul as special........ Maybe..... If you know anyone who could model these, and animate them as a kind of shuffle walk...

If this does get used... Then there is one thing... A FIRE BALLLAUNCHING.. RIDABLE DRAGON/FELL BEAST AS A TANK!!! ANIMATE THE WINGS, AND USE THE KIND OF THINK THAT THE REBUBLIC TANKS UESED TO SIT THE RIDER ON THE DRAGON!!!

I'm pretty sure a Lord of the Rings related map or mod is still out of the question, because of Lord of the Rings Conquest's somewhat recent release.

Besides, your ideas aren't exactly plausible, considering the amount of new player models and animations that would be required. That is, unless every skilled modder on GT got together to work on this project you're suggesting, which isn't going to happen. I suppose it doesn't hurt anyone to come up with such ridiculous and difficult ideas, as long as you know nobody's going to make anything out of them.
