Turret linking question

Is it possible to link a dispensed turret to another dispensed turret? I want to know for a teleporter thing i was planning.

i mean like the turrets in space how you can get in one seat and then if you swap positions then you get into the next turret without having to get out and move to it.

this also was in repsharpshooter's DMI map with the teleporters that you could get in and then move to another teleporter with.

If its ingame, i don't see why it shouldn't be possible. Your question should be along the lines of "how do i do this?"

i wanted to know if its possible and then ask how its done :P

so how do i link turrets that a unit dispenses ingame?

i dont know how you could check which position the player has in a vehicle but i guess you can force a plqayer in another turret when he enters a turret. i think that will only work properly with static turrets. with dispensable turrets you never know when and where and in which order they will be dropped.

i cant say, i dont know too much about lua. from my limited knowledge i think that "linking" dispensable turrets can be difficult because they can be placed by the player and by the ai anywhere and anytime. i dont exactly know what you are trying to achieve and im not a scripter so i can be wrong..

You could instead have a weapon that you can fire into a dispensable turret, which teleports you to the turret's location.

i wouldn't be able to do that in my map, too many hills in the way.

but i guess i won't truely be needing it, i just want some extras.
