New to the PC version, and I've got some questions.

Hey there, this is my first post. I was a huge player of Battlefront I and II on PS2, and just recently decided to check out the (apparently awesome) PC scene around the game. I'm loving it so far, but I have a few problems and questions that might seem a bit basic to you guys.

- Is it possible to cap the framerate? I know many of you enjoy having high framerates, but for me it tends to overheat my laptop and it causes me to have to play in 20-minute bursts.

- Theoretically speaking, is it possible to mod controller vibration into the game? As a longtime console player, it feels just slightly off firing a huge chaingun without any tactile feedback whatsoever. I know it doesn't support it natively, but Is there any possible way it could be shoehorned in?

- I was also a big fan of the PS2's HUD, menu, and font for BFII. Is it possible to get any of these three in the game?

Thanks, and if you guys could answer any of these questions it'd be much appreciated.

Turn on "Vsync" in the Video Options menu; it will limit your frame rate to your monitor's refresh rate, which is probably 60 or 75 Hz.

Hmm, that is an interesting question... I will have to look into this! *runs away to his cave*

It already works with a controller i think (i'll try), and that would be cool for the keyboard too, because i perfer playing with the keyboard.

EDITED: Thanks Marth :P

That's what he's talking about: giving controllers vibration support.

What I do is configure the 360 pad using the SWBF2 game controller options and then use xpadder just to do the vibration e.g. Shooting, running and rolling/jumping. Its not perfect because you don't feel the vibration of explosions going off near you but it works well.

Heh, Xpadder, you can also configure it to work as a mouse inside Windows. :o
