Zero Editor KEYLOGGER error [solved]

Post by sampip »

I have a weird error, which i have had for a while, whenever i open zero editor, it goes very slowly, and i get a "keylogger" error whenever i click on any button, which my internet security system is detecting (kaperspy btw)... It means i cannot create a map of any sort, and are stuck to finishing off my sides :( I know what keylogger is, but is it something related, or is anyone getting something similar. I didn't get this when i first downloaded the mod tools.

Please help me with these errors! I'm quite new to modding and really want to carry on! :(

Try re-installing the modtools as your installation seems to have been infected or something. If that doesn't work, just disable your security while you are using ZE, because a keylogger can't get much information from ZE anyway. (wadfsdawdas- The guy will be like huh?) But try re-installing first

I already did try re-installing it (no spark :( ). I will see if I can turn off the security system though, it's a good idea, thanks.

EDIT
I should have said earlier (:S) but it does only say behaviour SIMILAR to keylogger. I don't think this really makes a difference though.

Hey ive got kaspersky too, and I had the same problem, all you have to do is go into kaspersky Settings>Options>Threats and exclusions>and add zeroedit to the trusted zone under trusted applications and you will be able to run

Thats because your running zeroedit in a different map folder im guessing. You have to do this with each zeroedit in each data_*** folder. I dont know why, and I really dislike kaspersky for it but it should get it running again.

you dont have to, just select the whole bf2_modtools folder as exclusion (i tried it and it works)
