Nice models! The actual model and the textures are brilliant, though I'd suggest trying to make the UVs a bit cleaner.

A simple pistol I made for a map that's gonna begin production soon. The texture sucks, I know, but I got lucky when I opened up the texture in the texture editor and it popped up with the UVs in the perfect positions. If someone wants to retexture, I'll be glad to send you it.

honestly it looks a bit weird

if you are not that good in making textures, create propper UVs and copy and paste parts of shipped textures on your UV

Yeah, I know it looks weird. I'm not good at making gun models. And I always thought it'd be kinda cool to have a gun with the trigger not under or over anything, even if it looks sorta liek a jackhammer.

I'd recommend doing a poly reduction set to about 0.5%, so it gets rid of unwanted polys. Higher poly models normally look better, but you should still get rid of any unwanted ones to to speed up gameplay. Your textures are brilliant, but I'd still try doing better UVs. if you can get near-perfect UVs, the models will look way better.

I don't see what you mean with the uvs, since they look fine to me. Plus the model is already quite low poly, especially compared to some others. UVs also seem fine to me, maybe at some places at the bottom or summin, but this uvs are kinda perfect fitted on the texture.

Edit: Ingame picture to show what i mean: looks kinda perfect in my opinion! :D

True, but it never hurts to take away some more. I wouldn't recommend using polygon reduction, but if you manually remove lines such as the ones highlighted (I only highlighted a couple for example, there are more; looks like you used the stock circle, u:8 v:2 base:2, and usually you don't need the extra 2s) and possibly some of those straight lines, you can get the poly count a lot further down.

Honestly I don't see anything where the polygons should be reduced.
High-poly weapons don't do anything to slow down the frame-rate; all my weapon models in Terra Strife have a much higher polygon count than what Actiroan's got and the game runs fine.

I have one question though; where's the magazine? :P



By the way, D.U.C.K., very nice blaster, looks true to the movie in all respects.

That looks amazing! Now we'll have proper pistols for the CIs, since the're using the Stormie ones. Good work!

That's one tiny clip.
I'm too lazy to circle it in the photoshop so in case you didn't know what a magazine/clip is, here's a picture of the same weapon with a much larger clip.

Basically the magazine is where the bullets are stored, so, the magazine you've got there has in it maybe..... 5-10 rounds? :P
In contrast, the one I posted has a 30-round magazine.
