I'll be sitting on Death Star in one of the large rooms with the southern CPs and someone from across the room will kill me with a shotgun, it seems that no matter how far away someone is, they still seem to be able to kill me with a shotgun. The shotgun in principal should be balanced but in usage it's really not.
I agree to this (a shotgun shouldn't be that accurate on middle range) and think a higher spread of the shots would fix that. Also he should either have a healthbuff or he should have health/ammo Packs with lower capacity.

Shotgun bullets also probably should move a bit slower, I mean ,they are lasers too right? In BF1, the shotguns that the Rebel Pilot and the Darktrooper had (they were called "Blast Cannons") fired shots that moved at the same moderate velocity as rifle/pistol lasers, and dealt the same amount of damage, and they only fired 5 bullets at a time.

Actually no. Most Star Wars firearms aren't lasers. A laser is a beam that moves at the speed of light. There would be no noticeable delay between pulling the trigger and the laser hitting the target. The sniper rifles use lasers. Pistols, rifles, and shotguns do not. Shotguns usually fire energized flechettes one way or another usually. See FC-1 and the ACP Array shotguns.
I'm a stickler for this kind of thing.
